Got the feel for tuning! any suggestions to what anyone wants tuned out as AWD… check out some of the AWD tunes I have already, I’d be curious to know what RwD and AWD racers think…
Thanks!
Have two for the Sesto Elemento… I’m curious to what a player who normally does RWD and uses Automatic w/ traction / stability off, thinks of the drivability.
I just do AWD. So 99% of my ‘drifting’ is AWD. maybe I’ll go RWD one day…
The way the game is … are there any RWD/FWD drivers out there in any kind of number in FH3
I’ll check out some of your tunes. It’s best to list what you have done so they can be found - i see you said you had 2.
Do you have any in A class and S1?
Edited- I see you like top speed. And most of your tunes are X and S2. Ran in the “Rocket” titled Elemento which was X Class.
It handled well, predictable, like I would guess most X class do. It wasn’t a rocket persay to me (check out Here to Suffer’s - Daytona Charger. That’s a class car that hits 243 very fast and not a fan of turning – least that’s my definition of )
I took your car to the monthly rival challenge at archway meadows to see where it end on LB, as normal rivals doesn’t have an x class to run but this was for track toys no restrictions
It’s nice but it was missing some grip and accel for the track and wasn’t 1sec a bit behind my normal S2 track toy (#3 corvette) and 3 seconds behind grip monster Nismo supercar track toy S2, in my hands.
I think it’s nice car don’t get me wrong. Driving through traffic was a breeze. Good accel/ decel/ turning. I guess I was expecting a bit more from x class is all. I would classify this as a nice all rounder. Not max accel, not max, not max topspeed just great aground car and blast to drive, but it wouldn’t be kicking down any LB doors (if they had them for x class) as it’s not a master at any of the metrics.
Cool! Thanks, I’ll definitely take your suggestions, I’ll come more prepared… wow, thanks for taking the time. Yeah the Rocket… I think I was over excited about having the Elemento… Cause after I drove a few other before getting in again it didn’t have the Giddy Up part I felt when I first tuned it.
I don’t know what to list as far as notes, or good file names someone would notice quicker…
Yeah I rarely drive RWD… After so many years I’m finally tuning these myself.
It’s great to see your perspective. I’ll work on a tune in the range you mentioned. I’ve got you locked in the favorites so I’ll keep an eye out and dl your files.
there’s a tune for 60% of the HE cars, I’m sorta fond of my NisSilvia and LambHura.
i do like top speed. I like getting there faster than being fast when it comes down to it.
Great feedback thanks again. Oh, yeah a nismo is a rocket …
I don’t race unbeatable %100 of the time either.
Oh, before I forget.
The Xp HE tunes I have for the Jag and Mustang were made for Goliath.
Oh I’m not really a tuner/builder. I’m just getting into it. I’m more a driver and just starting the build/tuner thing. But with so many people that do it a LOT better then me - I typically use others and or might start out in my own (because I can’t find what is needed for track I want to run), but usually end up in someone else’s is because they sprinkle some fairy dust or something and there’s is just that much better.
I’ll have an A class Holden Torana HE - that I’m pretty close to settling on a build and that I may share and will be pretty proud of. (Took it to top 10-20 but want to try race tranny in it to get top end accel better but it’s a bat out of To the mid range speed and still has medium grip so for those that prefer handling over the power sliding rockets it may be a good alternative.
But like I said. The moment a tuner like HLR Moss or SatniteEduardo gets it they take it to the next level. But at least this time I’ve gotten close.
Just tested your Rocket Sesto since idk what else you tuned for.
First impression:
From what I could tell its like a 25:75 torque split with a high rear diff acceleration setting (mitigating the car’s natural understeer?). Stability is definitely lacking for a AWD car even for a lightweight like the sesto since the rear diff is set a bit too high. Im guessing 10-15% lower will do the trick. Still suffers from the sesto’s relatively short wheelbase, but other than that the underbody seems fine.
After 2 laps of goliath:
Yea…idk, maybe you didnt tune this with goliath in mind? I am guessing this is tuned for a tighter circuit with more emphasis on corner exits rather than entry. My AWD settings could take a lot of those corners at 10mph faster and wont try and kill me by spinning out when I push hard, and my RWD settings could run a lot better than both.
Also the instability of the rear becomes all the more obvious when trying to push hard coming out of slow corners. Which is both weird and not, as the high diff setting wouldve caused it but you do have that custom wing on the rear, yet my sesto with no wing feels more stable.
Ill be honest with you, I only likes high speed tracks, and thats why AWD is out of my options list since they will ALWAYS have a bit more understeer coming into a high speed corner at the same speed as a RWD. I can see it being effective in a much tighter track with a slightly lower rear lsd setting.
