Just did the Trial, first race we lost 2000 to 1650. Except the game told us we won? I think the game made a mistake? It wasn’t because people on our team left either because all six were there for the final two races as well.

Exactly the same happened to me on last weeks Trial, won the first race despite our team losing by a similar margin IIRC.
Todays Trial was the easiest 3-0 I’ve had the pleasure to win. I was the lowest ranked player (prestige 2 : level 303) and the other five players won the top 5 placings in each of the 3 Trial races.
The drivatars were definitely not Unbeatable ! :smiley:
If it was a glitch with the Novice drivatars then it was a very welcome one.

The ‘unbeatable’ drivatars have never been that great, they definitely need to practice :stuck_out_tongue:

Since I’m on my vacation, that I waited for 2 years, I’ll just leave few car suggestions. To find tunes for them, just search for my gamer tag.
I’ll do solo stuff as days pass (I have laptop with me), but I’ll pass on trial.

So to suggestions for the trial
S1 900 road trial, with Ferraris, I’d go with Ferrari Portofino, or maybe Ferrari 488 GTB, or Ferrari 288 GTO

That’s a semi regular issue FN. Happily it never seems to happen the other way around.

A bit of minor feedback here would be that two of the prize cars are Autoshow cars and four of the others are wheelspin cars, that can be acquired for next to nothing in the AH. Only the Peugeot and Escalade are true exclusive cars. Matters not to most of us on here but with over 100 actual exclusive cars, it surely makes sense to just use those as prizes/shop items.

Hmm, Ambleside and Horizon Circuit in one trial - and at S1 Ferrari as well. Appreciate this is just a remix of an old event but that was terrible course choice. Unsurprisingly, I got annihilated at the first corner of both those races by a combination of drivatars driving nowhere near the racing line and teammates who didn’t understand braking.

It’s nice to see the custom race routes again. I ran three road race sprints with a 73 Carrera so I could use this championship for the Porsche mileage requirement. For the dirt races, rather than shortcuts I ran three normal races with a Gunther Works 911. It has an S1 rally tune. I also have a Singer 911 rally tune shared that is a fun dirt car.

I used the prize Enzo in the trial. It’s a grip biased tune since Ambleside and the Festival are two of the races. I still won the sprint race way ahead of everyone though. The biggest challenge was rammers. I might try it again.

I’ve tried again with Skajdrovski’s tune for the P4, as all my usual Ferraris are more set up for sprints. Did 43s at Ambleside which is fairly strong. I suspect that’s probably the best car for this course combination, without going through all the Ferraris. Enzo will also be good but is the prize car.

The best choice in my opinion for The trial is to use the 488 Pista depowered to s1, I won easily all three races.

I used the Portofino '18 which was the only car I had in the right category. Did 46 seconds at Ambleside which although far from Jezza was enough to win by a mile from everyone. Did about 2:07 in the sprint and 35s best at the Festival circuit.

I didn’t know that about being given the team win despite losing. Hopefully it isn’t a deliberate change to make the whole thing just a participation award? I haven’t played the Trial for many months so I don’t know.

It’s something I think has always happened occasionally FN. Its not new. Doesn’t happen that often though.

How do you only have one S1 Ferrari?? I know you don’t like to have too many cars but there are a lot of very strong ones!

The Pista was what I used first time for the trial. It’s fine but probably 0.5-1.0 a lap slower than the P4 at the circuits - at least with the tunes I’ve tried.

I am quite surprised myself actually! I just looked, I have nine Ferraris, and other then the Portofino, they are S2, X and A class. I have the Pista but it is S2 912 which I assume is stock.

I have 45 Ferraris of which 20 of them are in S1. Slight difference!

Yeah, most of my Ferraris are S1 :smile: with a tune by konjakop I won 5 out out 5 races in the 330 P4. It’s an absolute monster for instant pull and you can even rip the handbrake and full on ridge racer it with the power down and it WILL bite. So satisfying to feel the precision and lightness. Paint share code is 616 414 620

Good thing there is no DUI detection, used few of driving skill boost potions - whiskey potion and few wine potions … : )
Finished all solo stuff and it all went well, did try to tune few more trial options and I hope it can be of any use to somebody, tunes are all shared.
I updated my initial post with suggestions and from what I drove P4 and Pista, they wouldn’t be my initial pick, not enough grip for my taste.

Didn’t really enjoy the S900 Autumn Ferrari championship. Too fast on tight roads and lots of AI bashing. Managed to do it eventually.

The “Autumn Developer Championship” S1 Modern Supercars was interesting. I had forgotten how hard that was to do on unbeatable. If the leader (in my case usually in the Hurrican) gets a bit of a lead at the start (which it does because i start last) then it can become a task hunting it down. Took awhile but i eventually finished the championship with three first places on unbeatable in the Hurrican.

It was like the lead cars were all on nitrous until i got in front and then they back of a bit (not much though). Enjoyed it, was hard though.
