AI did it’s full showcase of behaviour in this week’s trial, fine the 1st race, 1 was uncatchable 2nd race and it decided to copy half my team in the 3rd race and be all over the place.

Used the RS200 from a previous championship/trial but I think it must have been a dirt one, car was very twitchy and not suited well to CC, 3 2nd places with another RS200 user winning 2 of the races so I’d recommend it as long as it has a proper tuning setup for CC.

Worst trial ever!!!
Bad cars, bad players, drivatars too strong.
There is only one competitive car (Ford Capri FE) but only few players have it.
I won all the races with my Capri but unfortunately other players were in the last places.

With all due respect, that’s not 100% correct!

You forgot about the beast, “1984 Opel Manta 400”!

Killed the first race several times without question, while team members always seem to end up taking the last 5 places in their Hoonigan Fiestas, GRC, 6R4 etc! :frowning:

I’ve only tried the second a few times to about the 25% mark as team members were trailing again and my views on flogging dead horses are well known, so quit!

On my last attempt, during the first race , I was in 1st place from the start of the second lap and all my team mates were occupying the last 5 places…again from early in the race, so I pulled up near the end of the final lap and gave each one of them a goodbye honk as they wet past in 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th places, before quitting. LOL

Got to agree though, the Capri FE is the best car if you’ve got it and can control it as it is a handful!

When I jumped the windmill in the second race, I was a bit too left and overshot the checkpoint, so quickly turned round so it registered, but it was too late the race was over before it was half way.

I seriously hate this Trial!

Nice little trick you can do with the X raid challenge, first 3 roo skills following by awesome skill chain in the same skill chain is doable

Yeah I did that without even realising it.

Oh, 50% series completion unlocks super wheelspin if I’. Correct!

There was 1 for 80% last season too, seems to be something they’ve quietly added in, nice bonus for a lot of players.

Just about to do the trial with Ziperr and Turtle if anyone wants to join our convoy.

Really bad car for that trial, enough with the cross country, it the trial all the TIme now, PLAYGROUND - FOR THE MILLIONTH TIME PEOPLE DO NOT ACT AS A TEAM STOP PUTTING GARBAGE. Those are dirt cars not cross country.

^This

^This too.

Terrible trial event, I assume class and race is somehow auto randomly picked, but does anyone actually check how it runs? Known issue with the A.I. on dirt and cross country, known bugs with A.I and objects, and water, both of these issues ramp the difficulty up for players as there is no way to match what the A.I. do. Yes, it is possible to tune and out accelerate, out corner the A.I., at times, but one mistake and you usual can not recover the time lost, meanwhile the A.I. make up for mistakes by … going faster. Add server lag plus network lag, and it is fun for all.

‘Fun’ A.I. events in my multiple tries:-
~ first circuit race, pushed off the second ramp into the town, land in the creek right at the end, U-turn is only option, rewind repeatably places me mid-air to land in the same place,
~ same place A.I. bumps me and somehow makes me come to a complete stop on lip of ramp, fall-off upside down in creek, reset places me at bottom of ramp, all attempts to drive off ramp lack speed so I fall right back in, upside, repeat,
~ A.I lands on my roof, speeds off as if some in sort of Fast and Furious movie series, meanwhile my car is uncontrollable, spins out, now backwards, miss the next check point,
~ I have the misfortune to land on the A.I. (some how it passes under me in the air, from behind), I am catapulted off the track, miss check point (no special Fast and Furious movie series stunt moves for me apparently),
~ tapped by A.I., tapped again, followed by the pit maneuver by the A.I., and to make sure I don’t regain control A.I. behind them T-bones me off the track.
~ and so on.

Not impressed.

Have to agree with the others, Rally Monsters on Cross Country is simply not enjoyable - it’s like watching a spider on a hotplate, they are simply too hard to control, while the AI just rockets off like it’s tarmac.

And so, my tune/car for the trial. That is to say this is what worked for me, it may not for you, race event is too unpredictable.

**Trial: “What’s That Coming Over the Hill?” | Cross Country | (S1 900) Rally Monsters
**Car used: 1978 Hoonigan Ford Escort RS1800 (Autoshow 300,000 Cr)
**Tune: Autumn CC Trial / 108 419 236

There are two tunes for this car at S1 900 on my profile, they appear the same, they are not, although difference is minor (the other should work, but is harder to control for rainy cross country). This one is running max aero, and has very slightly more ground clearance (was helpful). This will beat the trial A.I., can place in a podium position, however you will need luck, and skills (this race event as mention above is like a spider on a hotplate), car is controllable but right at the edge of control in these events at any real speed.

Best of luck!

Hello all,

Cars/tunes/suggestions for this weeks seasonal for those that find such useful. All tunes are my own, all shared. ~ tune name / share code. If you use anything offered here, and you like it/it was useful to you, please don’t forget to leave a like.

Online:

**Seasonal Playground Games | Railyard | (S1 900) Track Toys
**Car used:2014 BAC Mono (Autoshow 160,000 Cr)
**Tune: S1 Games Rail / 153 624 733

Easy to drive and fast car for games at the Railyard, great acceleration, very good grip. Tune is AWD, with rally tires.

Solo championships - Raced against Expert, Steering: Simulation, ABS: on, Traction/Stability; Off, Gearbox: Auto.

Just done one at this time:
**Championship: “AWD All Day” | Cross Country | (A800) Extreme Offroad, AWD
**Car used: 1993 Toyota #1 T100 Baja Truck (Autoshow 500,000 Cr)
**Tune: A800 CC Offroad / 637 166 137

Good around performer for this cross country event, fast with handling. Tune is AWD, engine swapped for 6.2L V8. The car turns wide at speed (loss of traction), bear this in my while entering corners at speed, otherwise very predicable driver.

PR Stunts:

  • Hillside Speed Zone, 1978 Hoonigan Ford Escort RS1800 - ‘S900 Rally Trial’ (680 307 281) - did this too many time, because got the wrong required speed in my head, and would reset at the last corner if was not doing that speed, should be no issue once you learn the corners, and are thinking of the correct speed requirement,
  • High Street Speed Trap, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - ‘PR Stunt Rally’ (120 633 544) ~ tune not required, any car that can make the required speed will easily get this due to the straight downhill run,
  • Open-Cast Cliff Danger Sign, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - ‘PR Stunt Rally’ (120 633 544) ~ only a short run up is needed and you should get it on first attempt hitting the ramp squarely.

Enjoy.

Hi again,

The remaining Cars/tunes/suggestions for this weeks seasonal for those that find such useful. All tunes are my own, all shared. ~ tune name / share code. If you use anything offered here, and you like it/it was useful to you, please don’t forget to leave a like.

**Championship: “Too Hot Hatch to Handle” | Dirt Racing | (C600) Retro Hot Hatch, 1990s
**Car used: 1992 VW Golf GTi 16V MK2 (Autoshow 20,000 Cr)
**Tune: C600 Dirt / 103 357 208

Sluggish and slow, but than again everything else here is too. A.I. should not be too much of an issue, note I race against ‘expert’, ‘highly skilled’ should be a breeze, higher difficulties I am unsure about. Only really problem track is the sprint course, on the uphill sections, although the A.I. struggle here too. Nice balance in the mudkickers’ sections, no tendency to flip over at all. Tune is FWD, with rally tires.

**Championship: “Cool Cats” | Road Racing | (A800) Manufacturer: Jaguar
**Car used: 1959 Jaguar Mkii 3.8 (Autoshow 80,000 Cr)
**Tune: A800 Road / 133 159 822

Fairly simple win, no problems. It is amusing that of all the choices, my system (maybe across everyone, don’t know) decided that the best handling and fastest choice was an SUV. While I subscribe to the general idea that the A.I. are not ‘using’ the car you see (just cosmetic) it still does not make the system using an SUV ‘icon’ as best handler (it was out cornering other Jaguars which have race pedigree) any less stupid. Tune, AWD, Forza rear air, turbo on original unswapped stock engine.

Enjoy.

Well adding the Megan to the shop made doing the Eliminator absolutely pointless. Why do PG keep doing this? add a New car to a new feature, forcing people to play a feature, then later give it to ppl in the shop? Bug the hell out of me when PG do this sort of thing. It’s a big slap in the face to those that spent hours playing Eliminator to get the Megane, only for them to gift wrap it to everyone whos not months later. It’s not even the hardest car to get via the eliminator either. STOP DOING THIS PG!!!

Well…that was the most broken/glitched trial I’ve done since launch.

Never mind the force fields around the drivatars. Never mind the fact the drivatars don’t slow down in water. The first race my team won every time…even though we lost half of them…lol

The second race was all team losses until my 6th attempt at the trial.

The third race decided to have a glitched checkpoint…that restarts you past the checkpoint over and over and over and over and over. shakes head

Lost the trial 5 straight times. This has never happened to me…not once. I used the hoonigan RS200 for the first 5 attempts. Switched to the Capri FE and…sure enough…won the trial…despite the fact every teammate AND drivatar was trying to ram me off the track…probably due to jealousy over the Capri.

I’m on about my 7th and still no overall win. My team won the first race for a change though. Yey! Then lost the second and third! :frowning:

Over 10 attempts and I officially hate this god forsaken Trial!

FAO PG, Trials like this are NO FUN at all!

The Hoonigan RS200 is capable of winning the trial, I was on the winning team just now (4th or 5th attempt, not sure), I was first in the Hoonigan RS200 for the first two races, using Jvvyy’s Mudkickers tune.
