My weapon of choice for drifting is the Hoonigan Gymkhana 9 Focus RS RX, got the drift zone on the 2nd try with a PB to boot. Speed zone was done with the Mosler, first pass 139.99 (how annoying was that?) and 2nd pass smashed the target easily.
I’m really not good at drifting, but had been practising over the past couple of days. Good to see the target is only just over the 3 star.
After a few false starts where I was struggling to hit 30k I realised I was in 1st gear manual, usually drive in auto as it’s simpler + had the sound off so no audio clue.
Notched it up to 3rd and got it on the second go using the stock #777 FD 240SX, of all the cars I tried over last couple of days it seem to suit the slower tighter area.
All too easy this week imo… I realise skill level varies but I prefer the ones that need multiple tries and a bit of thought into how to get them. These were all a relative cakewalk and I did them in no time.
Shame cos the PR stunts are my favourite thing left in the game really, and 10 mins of play a week isn’t quite enough.
Both, it wasn’t contradictory. I tend to put minimal effort into these on my first try (or few tries if needs be) and only give it some real thought if I get stuck. I never got stuck. (I don’t class doing the danger zone a few times as getting stuck, because I was in a bad vehicle for it, which struggled for grip on the wet grass making lining up trickier than it could have been, but I knew I’d get it if I kept trying so I didn’t bother to change cars.)
I too love the PR stuff. I do that before I even do the championships. Every season change I jump to the island, do those PRs then back to the mainland. But since trials are a thing now on the island, i’m there a little longer to complete that.
Wow… '65 GTO is one of my all time favorite cars. Please, please, please, please, pleeeeeeeeease, don’t make me join online racing events to get this car! praying to the racing gods
Well, remember. The setting on challenges are set to be difficult, but still reasonably possible for the average player. They cannot set them based on what would be difficult for a person with a perfectly tuned car and hundreds of hours in the seat.
This drift zone, and the one in spring are easier ones. Good incentive to help learn countersteer. This one is more than doable with a rally car, dont need an FD. Player will find themselves more proficient at rally. It is a good one to practice on.
