Online Qualification
Online qualification is achieved by completing either “Supercars Challenge #1”, “Supercars Challenge #2”, or “Supercars Challenge #3” Rivals events found within the video game Forza Motorsport 6 between Friday September 8th and Sunday September 17th 2017 inclusive.
The Rivals format is a Time Attack style of race, where participants complete the fastest lap possible around the circuit (Mount Panorama). Once completed, a participant’s time is automatically recorded on the Forza Motorsport 6 server. The fastest lap times will be updated daily and listed on a leaderboard found here. A participant will only have their fastest lap recorded. Each of the three Rivals events have different cars available, however, no single car or event provides a competitive advantage. All differences between cars are purely aesthetic.
Participants may complete as many Rivals events as they wish during the qualification period. The online registration form needs to be filled out only once.
The following in-game settings (Assists) are allowed to be used:
Suggested Line – OFF
Braking – ABS ON or ABS OFF
Steering – NORMAL or SIMULATION
Traction & Stability Control – OFF
Shifting – AUTO or MANUAL or MANUAL WITH CLUTCH
Damage, Fuel, Tyre Wear – ON
The Assists available will change between online qualification and the Live Final.
Participants with the fastest eight (8) laps recorded during the promotional period across all three Rivals events, accompanied with valid registration, will be invited to attend the Live Final, held in Bathurst, NSW during the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 event week from Wednesday October 4th to Sunday October 8th 2017. For the avoidance of doubt the eight participants will be unique people
Should an invited participant not be able to attend the Live Final, or be void from qualification for any other reason, the participant that recorded the next fastest time will be invited.
