What is with that drifting rivals? Took me 2 hrs. I beat more than 10 the first time and it makes me beat people 1 by 1 instead. Are you insane? Do you know how hard it is for some of us? Especially when I scored too many points on the first go round. Why would you put such a frustrating time wasting thing. Why? You need to stop doing this.

Same with the “beat 5 rivals in the ‘Featured Track - Bathurst’ event” challenge.
…This can be exceedingly difficult when rivals automatically pits you against your friends list and your friends are all very fast.

I guess you could exit out of rivals every time you beat a randomly selected beatable ghost so that you can then select another randomly beatable ghost, but… yeah, that fits right in with the way this game’s cumbersome UI/UX dra-a-a-ags everything out.

Just pick someone else with dirty lap and cruise 5 laps without dirtying it, same goes to drift rivals.

I just chose (choose set as training ghost) someone with dirty lap on drift rivals and cruised 10 laps, you don’t even have to score any points as long as you keep your lap clean.

You have to beat multiple separate rival players.
The game automatically selects the next-highest friend on your friends list to be your next rival.
If you can’t beat your next-highest friend, you have to exit out of rivals every time you beat one random rival in order to select another random rival (who is not on your friends list).
It’s just a poorly-designed “challenge” with a a poorly-designed way to do things.

The Featured Forza AUS multiplayer series is just Bathurst Bathurst Bathurst? No track variety?

No you don’t have beat 5 separate rivals, key here is “choose set as training ghost” and you can do it with just one rival.

Just completed 5 laps in Bathurst rival event with this method and completed that challenge hub task.

I have always used this method and it has always worked.

Oh, really? I’ve never understood how the “training ghost” option differs from just selecting a rival. How does that work?

It just keeps you with the same rival you’ve selected even if you beat them.

Thank you. Today I learned.
It doesn’t seem intuitive/obvious for that to work for “beat multiple rivals” challenges, but I’m glad to know that now. :+1:

Bathurst brought me back to the game, but I’m struggling to keep up with credits for all these cars required for featured events.

Is multiplayer newbie friendly? I’ve heard that’s a good way to earn some credits, but I know I’ll never be competitive. I also play in cockpit so I don’t have great situational awareness for other cars, and I don’t want to ruin other players’ races when I take my corners.
Anyone been in my position?

Might be worth trying the multi class races. The standard tends to be lower and the number of participants in your exact category will also be lower. You have to be a bit mindful of fast approaching higher class cars but they will usually give you a wide berth and the radar should help spot them coming.

Beat the same rival 5 times doesn’t have the same ring to it…

Just to add, and you’ve probably already thought of this, but you can do the Open class events first using cars you hopefully already own. That should then help up the credits for the more expensive featured car events.

For new players I would suggest Multi-Class. The races are 20 minutes. Enough time to get familiar with new cars & tracks and build racecraft.
The pace is lower than in Open Class lobbies providing more room for errors and suboptimal cars/builds while still being in the action.
4 classes (C,B,A,S) are racing simultaneously. A good training for situational awareness.

Open Class lobbies are full with meta-build cars used by very good players. Probably not very motivating at the start.
I stopped playing those because they are so boring.

Thanks for the tips, guys. Think I’ll look into these multi-class events.
I have a decent number of cars thanks to the car pass and a few reward cars, so hopefully I have at least one car ready for each class.

If you need any help with suggested cars/tunes for multi class feel free to ask on here. To be honest, I mainly only have S class cars but others will have options for the lower classes.

Key tip is to use sport or street tyres for the longer races. I haven’t done multi class recently but I think sport tyres generally still last the 20 minutes without a pitstop? Rayne should be able to confirm.

Sport tires will last in most cases. Exceptions are Hakone and FWD cars.
If you want to have some suggestions @enf0o, hit me up. I’ve built every car in the game and have tested over 200 A & B class cars on the Nordschleife. Thus, I’ve a decent experience of the potential of cars.
