So I haven’t played in a couple months, I log in today and see the laferrari price is capped at 1.7m, f8 is 2.1m 599gto is right around the same, I understand there is a supply/demand algorithm but these cars are selling fast. Did they do some kind of refresh? Did I miss some news? I’m still salty about my svj being cut in half. Just wondering if anyone had some insight, thanks!

AH price caps have always bugged me - especially when they keep changing.
I usually want to sell cars at a much lower cost but stuck with ridiculous prices so just give up even trying.
Why can’t we choose a lower price if we want to ?

I’m the opposite - want to sell cars cheap to clear the garage. Maybe even help out others struggling with low CR.

I just don’t understand what happened to all these prices, I’ve made all my money flipping in the auction house so I’m surprised to see these cars get cut so hard
Whilst other cars that can be bought at the Autoshow for 20 - 30K get listed in the millions at AH and you’re forced to go no lower - Why ?
I believe the reason for this is so new players dont immediately buy them super low and sell them for 20 mil at the initial start of the game. Which would kill the drive of the players to continue playing forward. Typically the standard for htf cars are 138k min buyout, but of course demand still plays a huge role

There was a car collection bug that allowed people to get an infinite amount of the car collection rewards. This sort of killed the market for the la ferrari. Sadly, I dont see it climbing back up anytime soon.

That makes sense. There must’ve been a similar bug on the SVJ I bought several of them and I had noticed in a few on the vehicle history all the stats where at 999,999 which led me to believe they were duplicates or something
Not really - anybody with any sense will just buy it cheap at AS if it’s a car they want and ignore the ridiculous AH prices.
Just don’t let them be sold for that in the first place and leave the greedy ones to be stuck with them.
The svj is different its price slashed due to it being refeatured into the playlist quite a few times… the stats you saw if they are a negative value more than likely are illegally modified cars someone listed on the auction house.

But from experience of trying to sell these, they’re usually well under list price for max/min buyout except in rare cases.
I misinterpreted and i thought you were asking them to allow any price for htf cars my bad. Yea sadly these cars tend to get inflated by hackers… its happened in every forza title… even got their own terminology “the donor cars”… they will more than likely continue the inflation trend too
A common car anyone can get their hands on that can be listed for really high… only modders would buy
For example the merc Kurtz (if i recall) in fh4… it costs like 5 mil autoshow and could be listed by anyone for 20.

I just want to be able to sell my cheap cars at a fair price and not be forced by the game to try to aim for ludicrous prices instead of choosing my own (low) limit…

Im the same way! The auction house system relying on demand only kinda messes with me. Its also the reason i only go for first owner and gift duplicates.
Some cars shouldnt be going that high its kinda crazy, but the game bases off demand and it thinks its correct

Problem is that you can’t sell / gift to specific players / friends and these days most people ignore gift drops because they know it will be something useless. Even when you do gift a car the only thing you get is Kudos ( if anybody bothers to send it which is rare ) and what’s the point in Kudos anyway ?
I don’t typically deal with any car that can be bought at the auto show, I deal in hard to find cars only. Those are the ones I collect for myself and also the ones I seek out cheap to remarket. I was happy in fh4 when they dropped this new algorithm because up until then it was only legendary painters/tuners that could list the cars for top dollar. I don’t see anything wrong with expensive hard to get cars, that’s the way it is in real life. I’ve made 90 percent of my money remarketing auction house cars and kept track of what cars are doing what. Typically when you see a car start to “stack up” at auction that’s when you can bet the price will drop, none of these cars are plentiful by any means I guess I just don’t understand the algorithm. As far as auto show stuff, ya I agree you should be able to sell your car as cheap as you want
