Honestly what I think the auction house needs is the ability to bid any amount of money you want. This means that if you are willing to buy a car for $100,000, but the bidding is currently at $50,000, you can bid $100,000 but if no one else bids higher than that you pay the next “step” up from $50,000. (Anyone else notice that the bid goes up by a certain amount each time you bid? That amount is a “step”) Also, for someone to outbid you they have to pay more than $100,000. This is how Ebay works.

We need to accept that “some” of the ways the auction house works will be to stop the abuse and cheating that went on before.

I cannot say every feature is there because of that but I am confident some are.

Its possible the feature you mention is not there to stop people bidding 99,000,000 for a car to guarantee them the win in the auction.

Well either way you want to look at it, the ah lies about the time wnding and its [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D]. Call it what you want but its misleading. Dont understand why the seller wouldnt just start the bid price at what they are comfortable selling it for.
