Assists in Online play

Im brand new to this forum and thought id start this as my first post.
Does anyone else get frustrated by online players thinking they are the cats pajamas on beating you but have ABS, Traction Control (which doubles as somewhat of launch control), Stability Manager and no damage all on?
I play with:
TRACTION CONTROL: off
ABS: off
STABILITY ASSIST: off
Simulation tire wear and damage
No racing lines
highly skilled drivers (offline)

This goes into the “players ramming into you” topic as well. I was racing earlier today and kids were hooting on about how great they are in drag racing. I race them. They smoke me from the start because I had tiny amount of wheelspin from the start (lack of traction control on rwd). I find this happening every other race. Where a driver either rams into you crippling your car on the 2nd lap, or wreaks the benefits of training wheels such as traction control and other assists and thinking they beat you fair and square. I find it frustrating as hell. I wish there was a separate game type or option to have total simulation mode for players. Where they either choose manual or auto before the race and that’s it. Just thought I’d share my opinion and see if anyone else feels the same thing. If you would like to add and race me feel free!

Nope.

It is quicker to not use assists even in this game.

If they beat me it is often because someone has taken me out. I get frustrated at that but not at the assists used.

When I first started playing I had the assists on. I thought it would “assist” me and make me run faster laps. Nope. I’m way faster with the assists off. Plus I get a kid on Christmas morning grin on my face when I can power slide out of a corner while passing someone. With the assists on it actually bogs your car down in corners. The only assist I run is braking line cause I’m incapable of braking in the correct spot otherwise lol.

Me personally have ABS on, TC on, AUTO trans
Thats the way I like it

Technically having the assist on gives you the advantage so you should actually be faster.
Both TCS and ABS slows you down.
Having Auto gears or manual w/o clutch means you don’t get the most of the gear changes also.

The only ones that shouldn’t matter are SCM, Sim steering/damage & the racing line.
You may as well turn sim damage off, as this gives you a disadvantage.

This game is dumb down arcade version of the forza motorsports. No matter what assist you run or dont run, you still have the training wheel on.

Just rethinking this - how do you know your opponents have all those assists on?

I have been accused of having unrealistic expectations in this game but even I would not dream of heading online with sim damage on.

Is it possible they had TCS off but were using AWD?

Irrespective of all of that it seems once again that the top of the leaderboards are dominated by no assists - drivers that know how to drive quick.

But to be honest this game has that much grip that the assists don’e really have much of a role to play anyway.

I am pretty sure I don’t want to experience traction control off on any supercar IRL.
