Are Driver Level Spins completely random?

I would swear that it almost never stops on the reward I press ‘A’ to. I hear the sound and see the marker, and then it stops on something different.

Is there any rhyme or reason or strategy to the spins?

It’s not supposed to stop on the reward it was on when you press the button; that’s the whole point of having it move several more times after you press. It’s supposed to be a random game of chance, not a twitch reflex contest to press the button when it’s on the prize you want.

If you want to be really technical, it’s pseudorandom.

What it actually says it does is basically this.

before you press the button some of the items on screen will keep changing as the highlight bounces around at random. Once you press the A button the items are the screen are locked in place and then the selection moves 6 more times and you get whatever it stops on.

the one thing you can be almost sure of is that you will not get what it was on when you pressed the button. My strategy is to either wait until that 12,000 mod pack is not there or try to press a while it is highlighted in order to get something other than the 12,000 mod pack.

On some spin levels it seems that you are much more likely to get the center square than most, this is mostly on the special spins where there is a car in the center surrounded by credits and mods.

the board and prizes change until you hit the button. when you hit the button the board freezes and the block will move 6 more times. wait until there are no really low prizes on the board to freeze it so you’ll get a decent reward no mater where it lands. and there are some special ones that are not random at all, it will be one car in the middle surrounded by 8 squares on one other car. but those are very rare, about one in 40 levels if i remember right.

I did not know that! Hopefully I can stop winning mod packs all together.

At least they don’t force you to pick out the ones you want to get rid of when you have too many (I’m looking at you titanfall).

The quick reply is no. There are threads where people have discussed the prizes at certain levels. Level 57 will net you the 57 Chevrolet. At level 100 there’s a nice payout but I don’t recall the precise reward. I find it too coincidental at some of these levels to be random. After the first few teasers in which you win the Bugatti, and some other high dollar cars, after about level 25 the payouts really dwindle.

They are completely Random

Thankyou for Pepsi all up my monitor. This was hilarious. Hilarious, but messy.

Haha, sorry for the Pepsi Syndrome there, I should have put a warning up, ‘No Beverages While Looking at my Post’

My father worked on the XM1. (Sorry, just had to share that. Resume thread  ) (Btw, can’t tell if it’s part of the joke or not, but that early prototype didn’t exsist in 1943. That XM1 came into being about 30 years later.) (Ok. I’ll stop now.) (Seriously.)

Dude, totally cool your Dad was involved with that! You got me on the date, I had another tank in mind originally (for my silliness) but I found that XM1 on one of the Chrysler History Pages, (AllPar) and decided to use it instead because… Mopar! - And forgot to change my date in photoshop! Cool story about your Dad!

If landing in one of the outside 8 squares it seems random, but whether or not it lands in those 8 outside blocks or the center block doesn’t seem random at all to me. If there is a car offered, it seems to land in that center square about 80% of the time. If it’s a $1M, I don’t think it’s landed in the center yet for me.

I actually did not get the Bugatti until yesterday at something like level 287

The special spins do tend to have a very high percentage chance of hitting the car in the center for sure and the others spins a much lower chance. I have gotten the 1 million about 5 times so far and have gotten then car when it is there about 80% of the time as you say. If you pay attention on the normal high levels spins there is a cycle there where it will blip on the center square and then it will be a while before it hits it again and then at some point early on it will hit it like 3 or 4 times very close together. It you can anticipate when it is about to go into that phase of hitting the center multiple times then your odds of getting the million are much better but still a crapshoot.

So I would say that it is not random but there is some randomness to it

It’s full name is Choking On Pepsi Syndrome, COPS for short. lol

I’m curious. After you’ve barfed Pepsi all over your PC can you still tell the difference between that and Coke?

Back to topic. They’ve only introduced a little ‘one armed bandit’ twist to the old level up reward or car. It’s not something to be taken too seriously. If you start trying to second guess it or try to calculate it’s pattern you’ll likely go mad. By the time you hit the mid hundreds I’m sure you’ll have won at least one of everything (apart from the tank)

Anyone else notice that if you buy an expensive car or two (plus 1mil credits) you seen suspiciously more likely to drop the 1mil credits at the next spin…

Hmm, now I wonder, maybe that’s why I pretty much only got change, I haven’t bought anything expensive in quite some time.

Unfortunately for me by the time i figured out a semblance of a pattern all the free cars were gone lol

for a while the spins in the middle almost landed on the middle if i got it there. I ended up with some free cars and some millions. But lately at level 111 it is completely and mindlessly random. the most i’ve gotten in the last 10 or so spins is 300,000 pack and a 100,000 cr. I have no idea what it’s doing now because it changes, and bounces so randomly. Part of me wishes they kept the forza 4 unlocking style, but the other part loves to get spins in hopes of the mil or a car lol

it’s an addiction now of sorts :stuck_out_tongue:

I got a Bugatti in like my second spin, plus La Ferrari and a couple of other cars and fat mod packs in maybe the first 1 or 2 dozen spins. After that it’s just been peanuts.

Yesterday I also collected my first Forza Hub reward which included 4 new cars. By pure chance, I’m sure, I got 4 cars in a few spins that followed.

If that’s random, then I can’t wait for Santa this year.

Not entirely random, but you have zero control over what you win.
I hate the wheelspins almost as much as the mod cards and the luck based achievements.
