APPLEJACKS' FM6 Gallery-- NEW QUICK SET! Tandem drifting 12-9-16

Hello all!

Welcome to my photo gallery where I will be posting my photo work from Forza Motorsport 6. I’ve been an avid player and photographer in the Forza Motorsport community since 2009 with Forza Motorsport 3. Forza to me is an outlet which allows me to do things with cars that in the physical world I don’t have the ability (at the time) to do, and I like to try to represent that in a way with my photos. You’ll usually notice a nice abundance of drift photos in my gallery-- I love drifting and I’m actually an amateur drift photographer (in person) at Club Loose, a well known organization that holds a bunch of drift events every year at Raceway Park in Englishtown, New Jersey. A lot of what I see there at the nearly 10-12 events I go to every year I sort of end up imitating here on Forza a bunch of the time. I love being sideways in all sorts of cars, so if anyone wants to tandem or needs help with how to learn, feel free to message me! Anyway, just quickly a few guidelines to remember for this gallery…

  1. This is my gallery and only my photos go here. I say this every time I start a new thread because I once was green and ignorant about where your photos should go if you want people to see them, and for some reason I thought it would be a good idea and go into someone else’s gallery and post one of my photos as a response. Well it wasn’t cool and I learned my lesson, so I’ll try and get ahead of the problem right here, right now, and let you know that you can start your own post in the Forzatography thread because people WILL see your work, and it’s awesome to see new people and new styles.

  2. I’m all about feedback! It helps to know what you guys think about the photos and what you guys would do differently, I enjoy discussing how to play around with the settings in the in-game camera mode. When I post, throw in a reply and tell me what you think-- it really really helps me.

  3. I post as much as I can, which usually unfortunately ends up being longer periods of time than I expect, as I get busy with photos to edit from Club Loose and I get busy with school work, as I’m a college undergrad. So big influxes of photos usually end up happening because they sort of just build up, and again it helps hearing back from you on them because it can kind of light a fire under me to post again in less time.

So here’s the link to my Flickr, which has all my Forza photos at the bottom and is more packed with all of my work with drifting and some other various car shoots from the actual physical world.

Check it out because I promise you’ll like it! Enjoy what you find here, I hope to hear from you all!

So here’s the first photoset… with some Forza 5 shots mixed in. These FM5 shots just didn’t get posted before 6 came out, but they’re good so enjoy them! But with Forza 6 I totally love the photo mode. It’s interesting what you can do with the settings, albeit I haven’t truly had the chance just yet to really dial myself in with them. Some of the shots here came out a bit soft because from my TV screen to the computer, the pictures come out with less contrast than it appears in the first place on the tv. So I know I need to work on that stuff. But anyway, here’s my first batch. Let me know what you think!

Upon posting these, I realize some of these are dark and could have definitely used more exposure. I’ll have to figure it out, because I kept making them so dark because otherwise a lot of the shots appeared over- exposed. Just gotta keep shooting with more cars. More to come soon hopefully! Thanksgiving break and Winter break are coming up so I should have some more free time.

Here’s a shot from my latest Club Loose Gallery, and another one is in the works as we speak, so check it out, you’ll like it for sure!

NEW POST- 1.2.16!

Hey everyone! I hope you all rang in the New Year in a happy, safe, and fun place. 2015 was a ton of fun, and I really can’t wait to see what 2016 has in store for us! I’ve been home and finally reunited with the time and ability to drive like hell on Forza! I’ve been hard at work painting, tuning, and shooting, and most importantly driving. I’ve got a few new drift cars, two of which you’ll see below, that have some pretty killer drift tunes (FF R34, Genesis, and the Caddy LIMO!).

I Hope you all enjoy what you see and gimme some feedback! ALL multi car shots were focused via the focusing slider in hopes of getting all the cars in the frame in focus, which is not easy to do if you have any sort of motion blur going on with your shutter speed slider. Some of them in this set, however, turned out better than every and very in focus. I’d love to discuss this kind of stuff with anyone if anyone has questions, I know it can be tough and when I first saw someone do it I wanted to know how they did it but I never was told. Anyway, here you are!

If you’re looking for even more stuff, go ahead and check out my Flickr and take a look at all my past Forza 5 stuff, all of my shots from Club Loose where I shoot drift events, and miscellaneous other things that I have on there from my amateur photography life. You can find cool stuff like the shot below!

These two are my favorite, good job!

Nice comp!

Woot!

Great shots! Love this one -

Love this! Can almost hear it bouncing off the limiter

^^ I agree, your drift shots are extremely good!

Some absolutely top notch drifting shots here Applejacks, keep up the good work

^Thank you guys, I appreciate it!

I just wanted to post some more shots that stacked up before I had to go back to school for the Spring semester. Of course it’s more drift shots, but I found myself a couple times in a three-car tandem and I just couldn’t help myself. The ones with the pink cars are from a “Missile Monday” session that a couple of friends of mine have every week that I was able to join. We typically build fun little beater cars with a max of 350 horse power to drift together and bang doors. Turns out this little Alfa is really great at it! This set, again, is just kind of a mix of random stuff, so sorry for the varying ‘theme’ not that there is one. Enjoy, and PLEASE let me know what you think.

P.S.: Does anyone see a resemblance between this Alfa and a Sketcher sneaker? My friends and I all do. What a weird looking thing!

I also recently released my latest Club Loose album (where I take pictures of drifting in the physical world) and it turned out really awesome, so you should all go ahead and take a peek at that. The album is for Slay Ride, which is the first one there you’ll see with a dude throwing peace signs in front of a bunch of cars. It’s a great gallery so really, feel free too take a look and as always PLEASE gimme some feedback. Here are some of the shots from the album!

Looking through your gallery I’m amazed at your shots.
