Apparently God | FH2 Forzatography Gallery - Well Overdue (50+ Shots Mega Set) [14/08/15]

Your work always amazes me I don’t know how you do it your gallery is in a class of it’s own!!

OK now I understand your comment on flickr

gorgeous!

Super collection as always, what can I say that hasn’t already been said…superb!

My personally fave has got to be the tall shot though.

@Guguhype, Segi01978, CamaroGuy96, Sp4nkn88 & thepigfarmer - Thank you very much!

@iHomie OG - Thank you and good guess, but no. Funny enough I still have yet to give it a try when it’s probably one of the best seats around.

@Lethal Drift & Morc 57 - Thanks and I would have used that shot but I was unsure about the use of cropped shots in the contest. Looks like a made a good choice anyway, though

@HOOKERno1 - Very attractive angle of the LaFerrari isn’t it? And thanks!

@vAcesWild - Thank you and I can’t say for sure about the size of the shot. On my desktop and phone, the portrait shots, including this one, always seem to be on the larger side compared to the landscape oriented photos.

Looks like I’ve got some updating to do.

[WPC 26] Winner

[WAG Week 2] Winner

[WPC 27] Winner

This week and last turned out to be quite eventful both on and offline. Practicum’s been going well and keeping me really busy. I’d forgotten what an actual work week felt like after having spent the last 6 months in class. On top of that, I haven’t had much free time since I’m staying with relatives for the duration of my practicum. I did manage to find some time to snap some more pics and do some last minute contest entering:

Take Me Away

  • LaExtra

Flickr apparently doesn’t want to share this shot at the moment :stuck_out_tongue:

Not a big fan of muscle but I enjoyed the Camaro. Lot’s of stance potential with it plus it’s great to get sideways.

Next update will probably include some Ferrari. How much Ferrari? Over 5 million credits worth :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: It looks like there’s another T10 contest going on and this one is meant for forzatographers! Well, American forzatographers that is so I’m out already :stuck_out_tongue: It looks like there are some awesome prizes available so anyone who is eligible should enter! Here’s a link to the contest details.

Cheers!

Love the BMW shots!
P.S. Not sure if you know or not but the final picture isn’t showing up.

That was a fast reply and thanks for the heads up :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m actually trying to figure that one out right now but I can’t find any reason as to why it shouldn’t be working…

I absolutely love the M235i shots. You seem to work really well with that car. The second shot in particular is a standout for me, but I think it could be a bit better. I’m not a fan of the chopped headlights on the road - if it was me, I’d try to reframe the shot so that you can catch a little bit more of the headlights on the road, or try to crop them out entirely. It might sound harsh, but I believe that you should either show all of it or show none of it. The halfway look takes away from the photo for me, but only slightly. It’s still a really good shot.

Cheers,
Ace

@vAcesWild - I didn’t actually notice that until you pointed it out. I thought I had it cropped when taking the shot but I guess not. I’m using a new TV and it felt like it was cutting off the borders of the image. Now I know it is for sure :stuck_out_tongue: I’ll have to fiddle around with the settings more.

My TV does the same thing, catches me off guard when I forgot about it.

Have to agree with everyone else the M235i shots are truly amazing I love the lighting, tone and exposure you use!!

Its all about this one for me

lovely stuff as usual

Chase and Status - Take me away??

My personal favourite has to be the second shot. Then again you would know that since I commented on it before.

Great update AG!

I like this one the most out of the Camaro set, but it’s hard to decide for one favorite. Beautiful portrait shot!

And as for the BMW set I’ll go for this, too:

Awesome lighting, great shot!

@Lethal Drift - Thanks! I never could get that last one to show up

@vAcesWild & iHomie OG - Fixed it! There was a setting that I had missed when setting up my Xbox but that shouldn’t be a problem anymore  Thanks for the comments!

@Sp4nkn88 - Thank you! I felt a more vivid approach would work well considering the different colors and shades present.

@HOOKERno1 - That was an unusual shot to say the least when I was taking it but something about it felt right. Thanks for the comment! (Also, not quite)

@Pebb - It looks like I made the right choice with bringing that shot out of retirement

@Guguhype - Thanks! Looks like I should take more portraits.

Busy week this week. I’ve been caught up with work, family, and searching for a new place to stay since I’m moving here permanently now

On top all that, it was my birthday on Monday! That’s right, May the fourth be with you!

Plus, I’ll be headed to PAX Prime this year. My friend snagged a couple of tickets and already got a hotel booked so I’m pretty excited. I went last year and had a blast. I got to play Forza Horizon 2 slightly early which was awesome but even better was the Polk Audio booth. They had a wheel rig set up with FM5 so I thought I’d give it a try since I play exclusively with a controller. Turns out that it was actually a daily contest that they were holding (set the fastest time of the day and win a headset or soundbar). On the first try I actually set the fastest time but it didn’t stick. I tried again on the last day but the competition was a little stiffer. The booth staff decided to have a shootout between the top 4 drivers at the end of the day and I ended up being one of them. And I held the lead by a tenth of a second going into it. The other 3 drivers went first but none of them managed to top my time meaning I had won and my next attempt was essentially a victory lap. It’s amazing how much easier things become when there’s no stress involved. The victory lap ended up being a full second and a half faster. The prize for that day was a Polk Audio soundbar

Now, back to the present, I missed last weeks photo comp. I’m actually pretty annoyed about that cause this was the first one I missed since December when my console was about 1000 km away :stuck_out_tongue: I’m not going to miss this weeks, though.

Also, no Ferraris this time. They’re coming in the next update

On to the photos:

Caught In The Headlights

and an actual spy shot!

Yes, that is a Nissan Juke in Forza Horizon 2. I’m guessing it’ll be in the next car pack

Also, thanks for 12,000 views! I’d like to be more active in the forums but work and family’s been eating up a bunch of my time. I’ll try to do the rounds sometime this weekend!

Cheers!

How did you change the settings? I’ve noticed my shots occasionally do that, so recently I’ve been moving the frame of the shot a few centimeters over to accommodate the change, but I’ve noticed it can butcher some of my shots. And no Ferrari’s? I’m out.

Excellent shots here. I had a set planned for the SLS AMG, but I was experimenting with settings at the time and I butchered it, so I gave up on that. I might have to go ahead and give it another shot thanks to you.

Cheers,
Ace

ok it’s been a few days since… but happy birthday to you!
Nice to see a new update from you AG

Awesome shot, I love the lighting and motion in this one.

This one is incredible! Fantastic lighting and composition, I also like the plain coloring.

^In for an answer as well!

Perfection…

+1

Another world class shot here,

Quick Update

TV Settings Fix - Since a couple of people were asking, I thought I’d explain what I did to fix the my image settings. I highly doubt this applies to a lot of you since it was a setting with my television rather than my console but you never know. I originally changed the screen ratio to “Full” rather than “Wide” or “Wide Zoom” but that ended up still cutting off the borders. The one that actually worked was called “Display Area”. It was previously set to “Normal” when it should have been set to “Full Pixel”. Changing that seemed to have fixed the issue of having the full image cut off.

Also, I may have missed last weeks photo competition but I did manage to snag a second win with the Word Association Game  Thanks for the votes everyone!

The word of the week was “Still” as picked by Morc 57 (great choice)

Be sure to check out the Word Association Game thread put on by CamaroGuy96. It’s good fun and very helpful if you’re looking for a bit of inspiration or in need of some ideas. This week’s word, chosen by your’s truly, is “Flare”.

If you haven’t noticed already, I got around to changing my forum signature! It’s a little more colorful and slightly easier to read this time  Thanks to the “How to upload photos using flickr” thread, posted by WindsweptDragon, I was able to create the new sig simply using the Aviary editor on Flickr. I have the editor on my phone but it doesn’t have the custom fixed crop ratio like the website does.

And, as I mentioned in my “Caught In The Headlights” update (which you should check out if you haven’t already), I was going to make sure that I entered this weeks T10 Photo Competition. Here are my entries as well as a bonus shot so you at least get something new from this update:

[Bonus Shot]

I caught a sneak peak of some of vAcesWild’s future update shots when I was checking out the other entries for the week and I have a strong feeling that he’ll be chalking up another T10 Pick

Cheers!

Thanks for the settings tips - my TV is different (Toshiba) but the settings were fairly close. For whatever reason, because the input is an HDMI, it reverts the settings to the default every time I change the input or turn the TV off. I can’t explain why, but when I used RGB cords on my 360 I could change the defaults to whatever I choose. Oh well, I’m moving into residence in August, so I’ll have to pick up a new TV for there anyways.

Thanks for the endorsement by the way. I’m very happy with my entries but I’m cautiously optimistic about my chances. The past round was a brilliant example of it - I had three very solid shots (they’re still uploaded as Photocomp28 entries) that I was confident would get me a win, but alas I did not. I don’t mean to sound bitter, but I’m starting to develop a theory that Turn10 loves to select photos of the vehicles from the most recently-released car pack. I think that’s part of why my Mazda MX-5 shot won a few weeks back - it was a nice photo of the star of the newest car pack.

Anyways, enough of my rambling. Looking forward to seeing what your future sets look like - I saw a few IRL shots on Flickr, and I was thinking about a little bit of Otis Redding. “Sitting on the dock of the bay…”

Cheers,
Ace
