Why drifting fd cars feels stiff and hard to transition, would you suggest any tune setup to fix this issue?

I just use the Search for Drift tunes, and usually you see the top drift tunes first… KenBlocksSohn
I configure them for AWD, adjust the differentials for more rear bias, and leave the rest stock. Works great for me.
I don’t find them any more difficult to handle than I expect. If I want them to be a little more controllable, I change them to AWD and set the differential about 90% to the rear.
i use the RX8. i can highly recommend this car, it is easy and fun to drive.
What helped me was
-maxing front stiffness (damping springs and rebound)
-front tire psi fairly high above stock
-Diff decel lock around 90-100% range
Then to fine tune it, i adjusted
-rear psi
-diff accel (usually keep it around 70 or even less, too much just can’t hook up)
-Rear stiffness (i soften it up quite a bit, again damping springs and rebound).
I sometimes switch between the rotary and 2jz which gives a power difference. so to compensate i quickly change the above 3 settings as they seem to have the most effect.
This all gave sharp turn in and easy to steer with the throttle. hope it helps u. I have messed with the 599 and supra and used this technique too, but mainly i stick with the Rx8.
i wish we could swap this Rx8’s engine, it sounds amazing. would be cool in a grip car.
I use formula drift cars stock.
But try tunes by KenBlocksSohn if you find them hard.
He also streams on Twitch. If you watch at the right time you may see him tuning.
I have never used a wheel so have no clue but is it possible it’s the wheel and it’s settings rather than the car’s tune?
As mentioned above, KenBlocksSohn drift tunes (usually called Godlike Drifting!) are awesome…his drift tune on the FD Supra 2020 is my go-to for anything drift related
i find them really good stock … of course if you are used to fake drift ( aka awd drift ) then i understand …
Did you miss the part where it says formula >>DRIFT<< cars? lol. Of course they are hard to handle in stoc tunning. Because those cars are designed for drifting out of the bat.
If you want to tune it for other purposes, you need to do it by yourself.
He sais it’s hard to drift with them.
Which I disagree with. These cars are some of the best at it.
