Any chance we can actually get newly released cars in the game?

Ok, thanks for the answer.

Just an advice: the change of scenery is nice every 4 years with a new FH, but given that we’re at the 5th of the series, the focus on newer cars would be an absolute must if i was in management. You should clearly up your game on that regard.

Again, this is just my oppinion.

Cheers

I am part of that group. I much prefer the standard, older cars and only drive the hyper cars when required for an event. I would much rather drive those cars I can and have driven in real life. Nother over S1 class and preferably nothing over A class.

But I do understand that others have different wants and desires, so I can appreciate the need for a wide range of cars in the game.

While I can understand and accept the fact that these cars have to be licensed, modeled, tested, and et cetera, there is still the feeling that the priorities of Turn 10 and Playground Games (as far as the car lineup is concerned) are skewed, to be generous. Too often over the last several entries now, the franchise has had ample opportunities and lead time to bring cars into the fold, only to overlook them or bring them into an environment so thoroughly unsuited for it that it serves to be little more than a preview for the next game. Even the simple act of updating car models for cars whose only changes are cosmetic in nature appears to be a herculean task; the Subaru BRZ that has been in Forza since the original Horizon has gone through one mid-model refresh and several performance editions with differing aero kits, yet the car in game remains the same model that was shown off in 2012. You can’t even get the updated front bumper or rear wing as factory aero options. Now the 2022 BRZ/Toyota GR86 exists…and according to you, the only way it’ll ever get added to the game is if people beg for it hard enough. That seems wrong, especially considering the usual quality of player-generated content; a disturbing number of these lists read less like potential racing-game add-ons and more like your local rental car inventory.

Hey Max,

I dream about having all cars ever used in a Forza title for the next anniversary of a forza title - may it be 20 or 25 years - that would be a nice one… with all the tuner-variants of Motorsport 2 or the Corvair from Horizon 1 etc…

Geez… Next update is basically a chinese car pack. Seriously who was asking for that? Moreover they basically have a ban on online games in China (children under 18 can play them only for an hour on friday, saturday, sunday), so where is the market for those new cars?

I really dont understand it. I wanted Lotus Emira, new BRZ, Toyota GR Yaris, Lamborghini Huracan STO, McLaren 765LT… And Im getting Wuling Hongguang S… And least make it with some kind of “free …” livery. Im not going to specify it. But you really have options there.

24 out of 500+… so roughly 5% of the cars are new?

How about we get updated versions of the cars we’ve been seeing year in, year out…why not carry the new 2021 A6 Avant, or 2021 E63S, or whatever…why do we still have the 2015/2017 version of each. I coudn’t care less about the locale, give us some updated metal.

This game is a garbage, only real Forza is the Motorsport, but if some of the Horizon devs put their hands in the game, its over for me

I also agree, but again, i dont even understand this beef with getting freshly released new cars. Fact one, most new cars are always uglier and worst than older cars… fact two? who really cares about new cars? please dont tell me that you dont have many favs among the 500+ roster of the game already… why do you want so many cars anyways? you dont even get to drive not even 75% in the end. I just dont understand people who complain about things like this.

It seems to me that some people just want specific cars because whatever reasons but they dont really stop to think that its completely dumb.

It is like every other title getting Newer car from big brand in very short time except forza. From moblie to smaller-console-title
Other game getting SF90(2020) in early 2021 and we still having… 2018 cars

AMG One said it is a 2021 car but I remember it is actually older cars. (but AMG not making that many hypercar so ok)

So
We are getting a recycle car from Forza Motorsport 3 paid DLC and that car recycle into Forza Motorsport 4 free-DLC and then it recycle to Forza Horizon 5 Paid DLC.
And it is a wingless version of a car in the game. Then we put forza wing back on it and it look almost the same as with-wing version but little bit uglier?

We also have cars from the 50’s , and 60’s, etc. lol. People dont complain about those? . . . sorry, i dont get it. Having “new” cars is one of the less necessary things in the game right now. But some will always want the best new fancy thing. Instead of actually enjoying the game. I really dont care if other racing games have cars from 2050, because its irrelevant. I have about 50 cars among my big favs in FH5, why i would want even more new cars that i probably will never drive? . . . the sad thing about this way of thinking is that this is one of the reasons the franchise will never improve. If kids keep being worried about getting the latest fancy thing to match the release date of the game. Well, keep it up guys…

so you are happy with the current cars list fine good for you but i’m not and i want more new models… just be cause you are happy at the current line up dosen’t mean i have to feel the same.

I didnt mean I hate old cars or I dont want old cars or this game should delete old cars.

But for the full price compare to other new game there is lack of some newly released car as a eye-candy-things.
Many cars in this game is recycled many many years. You cant not expect people not get bored by it…

Not only cars are recycled and gameplay also …So what is new?

Not only that
lots of new cars is useless
2020 AMG one dont have a wing in S2
2019 Ferrari J50 and SP2 are useless without wing and ugly with a wing in road race
These cars is basically no one is playing or no reason to use it in online play. It kinda feel like it never exist
(like a game added new character but badly balance so everyone are keep playing the same style)

“But some will always want the best new fancy thing. Instead of actually enjoying the game.”
I am also a modelcars collector and I focus on collecting modern and newly-released-cars and enjoy their design. So for me playing with new cars in games is the way I enjoy the game…
Not saying gameplay is not important. But there is nothing new in the gameplay. And we getting downgrade from old title. (I am from forza horizon 1…)

I can tell you my point of view, sure.

I only play the game a couple of hours per week (2 hrs when season changes to collect the cars and another 2 hours distributed along the week just to cruise). I am not an avid game consumer, i prefer going out, but as i stated before, i can relax occasionally by cruising in-game. So there you have it

it seems like random facts around the world.
kidding , you said the truth.

Dear Community,

first of all I like to say, my comment is my personal opinion and I respect other people might have a different position.

Secondly, overall I like the horizon series and I am not complaining about the game itself, even if we still have a lot of bugs.

NevertheIess I fully agree on all people who are complaining about the car list and the missing release of new sports cars, especially from German manufacturers like Audi, BMW, AMG, Porsche, Volkswagen.

Of course, the car list should contain cars of all kinds and all periods, which is the case today. And also a release of a Chinese car pack is okay … even if I personally don’t like these cars and I would have preferred to see a Polestar instead of this ugly Minivan … but, hey … so what.

On the other hand, getting a second version of Volkswagen Golf MK7 when we have the MK8 version already in the market since two years as a paid DLC car and also a refreshed 911 Sport Classic from older Forza titles, then I really think this is a good reason to complain a bit. These for sure cool cars should not be part of a DLC car pass.

My expectation for future car pass releases is getting some updates, such as the new Mercedes SL63, new Audi RS7, RS6, RS5, RS4, RS3, VW Golf R MK8, BMW M8 (where a facelift is just on market-entry), M4/M3, X6M, X5M, etc.

I have no idea what is blocking PG to release these cars. Maybe they keep them for future releases? Maybe too expensive for them to get the licence? Maybe they dont`t even think about that, because the decision makers have other personal interests (and think a Chinese mass market mini van is a dream car for everybody)? Whatever.

What I read in different Forza communities, most oft he people seem to have the same wishes: We like to have a balanced car list from all kind of vehicles from all decades, including the newest sports cars in the market, which we all would also like to drive in real live and or do drive in real life or dream to drive …

So, I still hope to recieve the above mentioned cars at some stage, hopefully not in some years …

Untill then, I enjoy the game and use the cars (the cool ones) we already have in the game!

They will put the new grill on the 2023 Cherokee and that will come with DLC as a new car.

Why are so many people obsessed with the “meta” in terms of what should or shouldn’t be in the games? I see it both here and other places, the sentiment that “well only this handful of cars are even useful anyway, so I don’t know why anyone wants anything beyond them.”

Do they realize this is a game that’s supposed to be fun? I don’t care if the cars I pick always match the meta (with exception for seasonals, but that’s another matter,) I want to use whatever I want to use. For example, I love Lexus cars, and I don’t care if RC-F isn’t the most exactly useful car for a specific thing, I still want to use it when I can.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this Isn’t a From Software game. It also isn’t Fortnite or Overwatch. It isn’t Pokemon or Street Fighter. Meta isn’t everything in Forza Horizon and it never should be. People want more cars, both new and old models, because that’s what it should be about, variety.

When the car is not competitive enough
other peoples would non-stop bumping your tail in online play. It is hard to enjoy or have fun.
I cant use Veneno S2 anymore because there is like 4-5 track car flat out in the same corner and bumping me every corner.

maybe horiozn spent too much time on modeling forzavista cars.
I rather they focus on the model in the main-gameplay. add more body kits/wing or moving parts(open top/air brake) instead of fullly open engine bay/door

Yes, but many of us don’t care about online multiplayer and only play solo for the most part, despite them desperately trying to force us into multiplayer.
