[ANSWERED] Report visual/graphical glitches here

Exhaust animations are terrible when using external car view. While racing, use one of the external views of the car, look at the exhausts, 2 look like 4, looks like its artifacting, bad animation, it’s distracting and looks terrible.

I only have minor complaints.
The Hoonigan Mustang’s steering wheel is present and blocks the view of the dash in the dash cam (the one without the steering wheel).
Also it doesn’t have any wheels outside of races. When in car selection or forza vista my car looks like this… these are stock wheel with stock width.

The 2013 Subaru BRZ Forza Edition has the same glitch as the 2017 Nissan Skyline GTR. Also the 1998 Subaru Impreza 22B STi was supposed to be full forzavista but it didn’t get upgraded. Also when in Forzavista it supposed to give you the engine specs when you zoom in on the engine and hit the play button but it doesn’t.

I’ve got all the same issues as above. Plus others.

No (or maybe 1 gear shift animation) in many cars before the driver gives up on moving his hand/arm. Totally takes you out of the moment.

Game randomly crashes (some days it’s fine).

Track & scenery completely disappear/flicker either once you go past 150ish mph on some tracks (Yas Marina/Catalunya being two of the worst). Yet, most tracks no problems with that (with speeds 200+) as there shouldn’t be with my pc which is far beyond recommended specs (& yes i’ve turned all those game mode, game bar settings off & any consuming background programs).

Stutter when cars are rolling with the countdown before races sometimes. Slight stutter, occasionally on city dense tracks.

Stewards waving flags is glitched sometimes. They go mental.

Headlights/taillights far from bright.

Endless save loop when applying some car designs.

Windshield rain effects vastly downgraded from forza 6 & the forza 7 demo. Looks pretty terrible now.

I love so many aspects of this game but it’s incredibly disappointing to see T10 release Forza 7 with such a huge amount of problems; graphically, performance wise & general game bugs (which there are many i’ve not listed here).

On a number of pre-modified track cars that have the straight/long gear lever with a race trans, will see the driver only moving the lever once on upshifts or downshifts, no matter how many times you upshift/downshift subsequently. Is this how a semi-automatic race trans works IRL? For example, you upshift once and then the car will upshift for you, and vice versa?

Lykan Hypersport has no gear shift animation.

It would also be appreciated if the driver’s fingers on paddle shift animations can actually reach out and connect with the paddles rather than just going straight up as if to wave “Hi” to the crowd or something.

To add on to the brake light issues with many cars in this game:

Here’s the BRZ FE, the left brake light projects a solid red glow around the light housing but the right brake light does not, irrespective of lighting conditions. It’s the same behaviour on every track and every time of day.

Also the central brake light is just very low quality.

Was driving a rental Z06 on Sonoma GP, no other cars. My car emitted zero tire smoke even when doing burnouts, donuts or jamming up the brakes. On another track, sorry I forget, I was doing a full grid race in Free Play and my car was leaving no skid marks at all even though there WAS tire smoke.

To add to the brake light lighting issue - the darker or lower contrast the environment, the stronger the glow on the brake lights. They glow bright neon/orange as if there’s some kind of internal dynamic contrast settings that’s jacking up the brightness to max. They should look red, instead they looked washed out and bright orange. This was also the case in Horizon 3.

Weird reflection on porsche 918.

Wrong speed on speedometer on evo x

I’ve had the same issue with track and scenery progressively dropping out during a 5+ lap race. Elements like the grass will remain, but the track disappears, fencing and sidewalls, etc. I’ve read elsewhere that its’ related to rewinding too many times, but I’ve done a 5 lap race at Indy, with no rewinds and the scenery drops out after about 3 laps.
My rig is a new i9-9700X with 1080ti, 64Gb DDR4, 2Tb M.2 SSD.

On night tracks where there are bright overhead lights such as Yas Marina or Daytona, if you stop your car and start revving it in neutral, the cockpit displays weird flickering as if somebody is flipping an overhead cabin light on and off. That’s as best as I can describe it. Just find a spot that’s brightly lit, rev your car and the dash starts flickering with the revs.

just had an ariel nomad wheel go through my avatar, looking at the screenshot it looks like the wheels/hubs are not considered part of the car and can travel into other cars. Nomad spec series, unsure if only a nomad/nomad interaction.

Here’s one for ya:

The 1993 Porsche 928 GTS has its pop up headlights always up even during day races with plenty of light.

Either this is a deliberate design choice or possibly a bug. I’ve noticed cars have their headlights on, pop up or regular, but they are not proper beams, just parking lights. Looks cool. However, other times when the weather is dark or overcast… AI cars have their parking lights on in the front and rear but the player’s car only has the rear parking lights working if that makes sense. At other times, the headlights should come on in low contrast conditions where having beams would drastically help in driving, but they don’t come on.

The #12 Honda McLaren MP4/4 has no gear shifting animation.

The opacity doesn’t work like it should, when you change it on design elements, which are put on colour tinted brushed aluminium body paint (if it is not colour tinted, it works correctly).

HDR seems to no be working correctly. I had to turn it off, as light sources were blindingly bright, to the extent that I could scarcely see my tire temperatures with the telemetry open.

  • 2016 Audi R8 has no shifting animation. Also, the driver’s right hand seems to be half hovering in mid air. It’s not making contact with the wheel properly as opposed to the left hand.

  • Was doing a career race in the Evolution Cup, Forza Group Rally Race on Maple Full Reverse Rain, and the replay cam angles only had hood and bumper views throughout. Only exception was right before the finish line where proper replay cam angles can be seen.

  • Laferrari, Free Play at Nurb Full, rain; the wiper would not move after it started raining even though rain drops from the windscreen were being wiped off and I could hear the wiper working.

?

NASCAR on Daytona Night.

Edit:

Another issue with rain and headlights

I do not know if you noticed, but in races with rain, you have partially the headlights on …

Ex: you notice the rear is on, but the front does not.

Here it gets interesting:

In this race, everyone had their taillights on. Less to BMW.

Only the BMW was the headlight on LOL

So much so that Firebird scrubs like that.

It’s bug by the way. Right?

Skylines and Honda NSX’s speedometers (cockpit view) indicate 180 km/h, whereas it should be mph. It stucks at 180 when you are 180+km/h

That’s not a bug. Most Japanese cars of the era weren’t/aren’t supposed to go any faster so the speedometer maxes at 180. Should be the same for the skylines.
