Sorry if an ongoing thread like this already exists. A few bugs I came across:
No gear shift animation on the Lykan Hypersport
Gear shift animation happens only once on upshift and downshift on the #14 Holden VF V8 Supercar
Strange texture glitch in the Veneno’s cockpit… looks like a blurry harmonica strapped to the driver’s chin or something. sorry, best way I could describe it
2017 Skyline GTR has no side-view mirrors in outside views and brake lights do not light up when you brake
On select tracks (not sure if this is a car specific bug only) such as Prague evening, contrast level on the outside world becomes unusually dark in cockpit then looks fine once you shift to any external view
On the other hand, contrast level of the outside world suddenly looks very bright in cockpit view and returns to normal once you shift to an external cam; unfortunately, not sure if this is car or environment specific but the same bug was in Horizon 3
Brake lights look unusually bright orange when they light up - for example, I was driving the 599 GTO and at one section of The Ring where the car was covered completely by a shadow from the hill, the brake lights lit up to a bright neon orange.
Ken Block Ford Gymkhana has no gear shifting or handbrake animation.
Hoonigan Mustang and #17 Xbox Ford Falcon will see the driver performing down/upshifts, but only once no matter how many times you shift consecutive gears up or down. There is no handbrake animation. Additionally, selecting the Hoon Mustang makes the car rental list disappear and you can no longer see the other manufacturers. Must quit Free Play and go back into race setup to see the entire car rental list.
Similar case with the #17 Xbox V8 Supercar, after selecting it, only three other manufacturers are visible in the car rental list next to Ford. Same workaround as the above must be done to make all manufacturers available again.
Ferrari 458 has very bright orange neon brake lights when they light up. I was on Top Gear test track normal day/no weather.
XBOX
Dodge Demon- During any race the screen jerks and jitters really bad. (Low frame rate) This is the only car I have seen this on so far. Happens on any track I go to. Is this happening to anyone else?
I think the whole game has an HDR Issue… Examples everywhere since it is unusual dark for most daylight tracks, when you get closer to cars they get “brighter” but its like blair witch project with cars, there has to be something off real bad and my guess its a broken automatic HDR Support. (Sebring for instance on some weather is brighter out of the car then in the car, cockpit and no dark windows or so)
Yes, this has been reported in a separate thread dedicated to this issue. It is pretty much the same issue from Horizon 3, where you’d get out of cockpit view to get the brightness level to return to normal. Sometimes, in hood view, the surrounding world can also appear either overly dark or bright. Switching to bumper or chase resolves it.
The brake lights also take a rave-like bright orange/neon glow when you hit the brakes. Same as H3.
There are no tread marks left on the tarmac after doing donuts, locking up brakes, cornering hard etc. Was in Free Play driving an M4 GTS, multi-class race.
Was in a career race driving the Integra Type R, Hockenheim full, post-rain setting - cars had no working headlights even though the AI cars with flip-open headlights (like the RX-7) had their headlight lids flipped open. Next race was at COTAS short, day time, and all the cars did have their headlights working. Odd!
I’m on Xbox One.
Edit: Another Free Play race at Long Beach full, 24-car grid, driving a 458 myself. NO tread marks whatsoever… what in the heck?!
Was racing on Lime Rock in a BMW M4 FE when I noticed that the AI was driving into the trunk of the car as if it wasn’t there. No collision or anything, the front of the drivatar car was buried in the rear end of my BMW. A bit too close for comfort
Ford Eco boost open wheel car has no gear shifting animation and when you shift to cockpit view #2, it just stays in the same cockpit view but the wheel and readout disappear.
Also, do no cars in the game have handbrake animation?
Was looking at the Ford Escort RS1600 in forzavista when you open the bonnet (engine cover) only the frame lifts up. The bonnet skin stays down. I shared 2 x photos of the car .
When selecting a new wheel, the front and rear seem the wrong way round in appearance, the fronts have a deeper offset/dish, and the rears have a shallower offset/dish, also when go to change the widths of the tires, the same seems to happen, if you go to the rears, the front tires look extremely wider than the rear tires, yet i set most cars up with wider rears…?
On the Xbox
I’ve got this one right in front of me
The second wing offered on the Koenigsegg Agera floats in mid air like when in forza vista and the hood (trunk? Trood? Whatever you want to call it) the wing stays in place even when you raise it to look at the Engine so it’s just suspended in mid air
-Several cars including the Aston Martin DBR9 and Honda Civic Touring car have gear shift animation issues in cockpit view, where the driver will only shift up/down once, then no animation changes will play for further gear shifts in that direction. I.E, he will shift up once, then the next shift up will not play the animation.
-Loads of cars have issues with the driver’s hands coming off the wheel/ clipping through the wheel when turning in cockpit view. Off the top of my head, the Ferrari 641 Formula One car, the Aston DBR9, Honda Civic Touring car, Formula Ford.
-When driving in a field of Fast and Furious Cars, frame rate drops significantly when most of the field is on-screen. Frame rate seems to be normal when the rest of the cars are behind me and I can’t see them. This is whilst driving the Plymouth from the F&F pack.
-The Hoonicorn has missing wheels when viewed in the garage.
-The McLaren MP4-12C has clipping issues with the gear paddles on gear shift.
