I drive the 458 S on a very regular basis, so picked this up right away after the latest game update:
When your driver shifts the right paddle, the hand comes back to the steering wheel and then moves again, as if trying to squeeze the wheel. First time I’ve ever seen a paddle-shift animation glitch like this in Forza.
Also, even more annoying, is when you downshift, he does click the left-paddle, but at the same time the right hand twitches for no reason at all.
The bugs in this game is a test of patience… Will think very carefully about dishing out cash on DLC in future.
I’ve tested out several cars with flappy paddels - the opposite hand twitch happens on all cars.
One post, one thread is sufficient, but research would help you. There have been discussions regarding shifting animations for months. Use the magnifying glass in the upper-right on these forums, select the Forza Motorsport 6 groups, then use “paddle shifting animations.”
This issue has popped up recently after the update - I’ve never, to date, noticed the driver’s opposite hand twitching while working the paddleshifts. It’s always the opposite hand, and it is getting to me.
I’ve grown to really like the cockpit view, despite the limited and incoherent wheel animation. The left hand twitching while upshifting and vice-versa and something I can do without. Not only does it look bizarre, but also distracting.
It’s taking away from the experience T10, please fix it with a mini-content update. GUYS, vouch for me here… so the devs take notice. Does no one use cockpit view anymore!?
@Mechberg, can you bring this to the developers’ notice please? It is game-breaking as far as cockpit is concerned. Again, for the record, it’s popped up after the recent content update, and has NOTHING to do with the paddleshift animation discussion that’s been going on for months.
Anyone generous enough to replicate the issue please? Try it out on 4-5 cars.
It’s made the cockpit view broken now for flappy paddle cars - can’t believe how lightly the devs are taking certain bugs.
You get one update, and something else gets messed up. Is T10 even the same team from the X360 FM days or have they had a massive staff shuffle? Hope they are not outsourcing their coding to less developed countries.
