After two days downloading the PC version, apparently it is unable to sync with the Xbox version. My current garage, career status and everything else from the Xbox appear OK, but the game only runs offline, without multiplayer or Rivals. How to solve this?
Is your xbox app on W10 up to date?
I believe it is. It connects normally to the Xbox server, shows everything including my progression in FM7. When I start the game, it goes up to 10% sync, retrieves all my data (career, cars, avatar), but then it issues the message “We can’t connect with the cloud right now” and offers me the option to play offline. I considered the firewall, but then it wouldn’t be able to get my data in the first place. Any clues?
EDIT: I tried to open the game on the Xbox and it issued the message “You’re already playing this game on another device. Close that game to play it here.” When I did that, it opened normally on the Xbox,. I also tried deleting an email message on the PC and, after I closed it, FM7 opened without this message on the Xbox. Apparently the game is actually online on the PC and syncing with the cloud, only it cannot access online features like multiplayer and Rivals.
Hello,
Ok, a couple of things to note here.
- When you are on one device and try to play on the second, it will tell you that you’re already playing on another device. (You cant play on two devices at one time).
- You have one cloud game save. This gets synced no matter what device you are on. Its pulling the information from the same place and making that specific device up to date with your data.
Go a head and try to only launch the game on the PC. Make sure you are signed into the xbox app and the store under the same account that purchased the game. Its also beneficial to launch the game from the xbox app.
Try those things and let me know if your game is able to sync.
Thank you,
Thanks NitroGlitter, but that’s exactly what I did: disconnected from Xbox, connected with the PC. The game is able to pull everything from the cloud (my nick, cars, career progression, etc.), but then it stops syncing midway and tells me that I can only play offline. I tested turning the Xbox on just to make sure the PC version was being detected online, and it was, because I couldn’t have both running at the same time. So, in short: the PC version connects to the cloud, retrives my info (which means I am connected with the same account) and then shuts down all online activity (multiplayer, rivals) and only allows me to play offline. Strangely, if I do something while playing on the PC (say, buy a car), this change is reflected in the Xbox version, which means it is still synced to the cloud even when it blocks my online access.
Have you checked your parental settings? Firewalls? Anything you can think of that would be blocking your connection?
Ill also see what I can find out.
At first I suspected it would be the firewall, although then the game wouldn’t be able to sync my personal data. But the issue persists even with firewall OFF. Any hints?
