So we take most of your stuff, and then you say, ok, i lost it but i just go to work and buy all the things again.
People like you are the reason, why the developers can do anything and you just accept it.

Well I guess you didn’t actually read my post then because I never said it didn’t need fixing but if the only reason I was playing this game was to grind skill points then I’d have to question my own sanity.
People are annoyed, justifiably, at another update that contains a serious bug which wipes months of progress. It may not be annoying for some people, but that’s irrelevant. The game was flawed upon release, it was expensive, and in 7 months and 9 updates it’s still full of bugs, some which have been there from release. That’s unacceptable.

For starters, unlocking the perks on hundredes of cars takes a lot of time and effort, so I’m really not sure why you’re surprised that some people are not okay with all their hard work being undone because of a developer screw up.
Secondly, many of my cars have the Extra Life perk which is not only useful but also expensive (that’s 25 skill point per car). I fortunately haven’t booted up Horizon 4 since the update was released, so I’d rather not play it for a while then have to work to unlock that perk on my cars again.
And lastly, if some people grind for skill points and enjoy unlocking perks on their cars, who are you to tell them otherwise? There are many different ways to play this game, and none of them are “wrong”.
Anyway, I have other games to play in the mean time, so I’m perfectly fine with waiting as long as necessary until this issue is resolved.

I thought I was alone trying to figure this out!
After wondering why FH4 didn’t auto update after leaving my Xbox on (usually updates while in sleep), I jumped into the game and played as usual for about an hour or so. No issues. I then noticed the “Skill Perk Acquired” pop-up and choose to open it and see what I haven’t yet added to my car. Screen opened up to a blank set of perks, which I should’ve had a couple at the top left to unlock. Note, all the perks were active during my time playing. It wasn’t until I went into the perks screen that everything disappeared! I checked all my favourited and modded cars and it was the same sad story. Feels like I’m starting the game all over again having to reapply perks to a 100 cars or so…
Funny enough, while the update was downloading I said to myself, I wonder what would happen it an update caused downloaded cars to disappear. Well, this is just as bad to me.
Same thing here. I hope they will fix it ASAP and give us our perks back. This is horrible
same here, and i can’t repurchase back, it will all gone when i restart the game
I was also hit with the mastery points. I have only found one car that still has them. This hurts. Let’s hope it can be reversed.
i am also affected by this and I also had most of my cars maxed out… seems like we are all in the same boat hopefully this can be sorted out soon
it happened to me as well. the cars i regularly use have all had their mastery perks reset, and they were all maxed. i also repurchased all the perks for a vehicle, and when i went back to that car to use it again, they were gone again. talk about highly annoying. used a good chunk of the mastery points i had saved up re-mastering some cars…i’m sure they’re all gone again now as well.

just to update mine…i stopped playing the game for a few days after i realized all the perks were gone, but when i was on my xbox on friday, i noticed there was a small update available to horizon 4, so installed it and went into the game and saw perks i had reapplied were still there, and i even applied some to a car and they stayed on. so the problem seems to be fixed for now.
the only issue is all the cars i had maxed the perks on that were erased 
i did notice that all of my barn find cars were never affected by this, they never lost any of their perks.

I’ve been getting frustrated with a few glitches lately but if this one doesn’t get sorted I’ll be leaving the game behind too.
It isn’t exactly the disaster of the century but games like this live and die on achievements. If you can’t rely on it to save them then what’s the point of playing.
They don’t seem to be be capable of releasing an update without messing something up and based on previous experience, I don’t expect them to make fixing it a priority.
If they have a QA team, they’re asleep at the wheel.
Well they already have your money why should they care?
This is the future of videogames, live service games that punish players in new and interesting ways with each update!

i wanted to ask for help but luckly or unlucky other people have the same issues

Same here, all car masteries reset! Thousands of skill points gone. T10, this is unacceptable! Step up and restore our stuff, and no we’re not asking, we’re demanding… I hope you (T10) are not expecting us to just turn a blind eye and rebuild. Give us our masteries back!
