[ANSWERED] Audio problem is "stuttering" - sound cut miliseconds...

Hello guys, my audio problem is “stuttering” in the game´s sound wherever driving, menu, etc are sounds cut of milisecond… How get solve??

My PC: i7 4790k 4 GHz + Sapphire R9 290 957 MHz + Enermax Gold 730W + 8Gb RAM G.Skill 2133MHz CL9 DDR3 + AsRock Extreme 3

It seems like graphics medium 60fps is solve, but why?? I want play in high 60fps!!!

Maybe short RAM?? or what?

Thanks for help!

Having the same exact issue on PC.

Every 1-1.5 seconds the audio has like a very tiny stutter with a light popping noise. It is very noticeable and once you do notice it, it gets very very hard to ignore it.

There’s alot of tutorials online that don’t really help like changing the process in the task manager to a higher priority, changing the speaker audio settings to disable enhancements (a menu that i apparently don’t have) or change the sound quality level in the same menu, etc.

I think i had the same issue in Horizon 3 when it launched but i dont have that problem anymore in that game so i dont know if it eventually went away or i fixed it.

Unlike OP, i have a nvidia card, so it isn’t limited to AMD or Nvidia.

But yeah, any workaround fix would help. Google is a wasteland.

Same problem. Although my audio cutouts seem like they may be a bit more pronounced than what you are describing. Core i7 2600K 4.1GHZ, 16GB Corsair DDR3 2133 RAM, ASRock P67 Extreme4, MSI Armor RX580 8GB.

Tried all the stuff Super Miya Chan tried as well.

I’m having the same issue with an RX 470 4gb and FX- 8350

Same issue, audio lags even in launch menu.
i7 3770k
rx 480 8 gb
16 gb ram

Anyone here found a solution?

I am too having this problem, and cannot play due to how annoying it has become.

ryzen r5 2600
rx 480 8gb
16 gb 2133 ram

Same Problem

Ryzen 1800X
Nvidia 1080ti
16 GB ram

I recorded the issue:

Have the same issue. The recording from CPT CAPSsLOCK shows exactly the problem i encounter. FPS are stable also.

Ryzen 1600
AMD RX 580
16 GB RAM
WIndows 10
Realtek HD Driver

I guess i stop playing the game for now, it’s just too annoying.
I will provide logs and more information if needed.

Edit: I removed the Realtek driver so it uses the generic microsoft driver. Didn’t change anything at all.

I disabled hyperthreading and the problem was reduced significantly. It seems like it may be CPU related. In the benchmark the number of blue dots that fell below the 60fps line were DRASTICALLY reduced, along with my “stutter count”.

I used a program called In Depth Latency Test by LatencyMon. It was showing wayyyy too high latency on every core with hyperthreading enabled. Latency measured over 100µs with hyperthreading on and doing nothing but disabling it in the BIOS reduced those to 3µs.

The audio skips are still happening but much less frequently. Hopefully this is helpful info.

Core i7 2600K 4.2GHZ
16GB Corsair DDR3 2133 RAM
ASRock P67 Extreme4
MSI Armor RX580 8GB

Scratch that. Stutter count was reduced in the benchmark but the audio stutters are still there and they don’t seem to be much less frequent either. Oh well.

Too bad this doesn’t sound like a widespread issue. Hope this issue gets acknowledged as i’m pretty sure this is not a problem with our setup.

I just found a solution for the stuttering problem: Just play offline!

Deconnect your ethernet/Wifi or deactivate your ethernet-adapter in the system tray. I tried to fix the stuttering-problem for quite a while now and this completely fixed the problem.

yep same here audio stuttering for millisecond

intel 7700HQ
gtx1060 6gb
16gb ram
logitech G633 wired head phone

same here its tilting me to the max

I have got the same issue. There seem to be a lot of users with that problem. I am wondering why it is not on the “known issues” page.
Maybe anyanone has an solution for stuttering Audio now?

Same problem here. Continual buzz if I play audio through 3.5mm jack. The audio stutters and cuts out completely after a while when using usb bluetooth headphones. I’ve tried capping fps and lowering the recommended settings but audio will still become choppy and cut out

intel i5 3570k
gtx1070 8gb
8gb ram

Anyone ever find a solution?

I have the same issue. I also have a 4790k and an AS Rock Extreme 3 motherboard, so could be a mobo/driver issue? I have the most up to date sound drivers though, so I don’t know.

My game just started having the same issue described in this post. This game has too many bugs it’s no wonder they recruited people that worked on GTA V and RDR2 to work on the next Forza. They need all the help they can get.

I have the same issue aswell which is annoying as i really want to get into this game but with the audio constantly stuttering i just cant play it. Wish someone would come up with a fix or least the devs to look into it and patch it.

Hello there,

The best way to get Forza support or help with an issue is by submitting a ticket here
