I’m a long time Forza fan. It is the only reason I bought an Xbox One at launch.
I loved every game in the series but was extremely disappointment at how poor Forza 7 ran at launch. I stuck with it and manage to complete the inital part of the single player mode but I always felt I was causing fighting bugs, performance issues, sound problems.
I stopped playing the game a while ago and had been playing a lot of GT Sport on PS4.
Anyway, a couple of weeks ago I went back to F7 and wow what a change.
Super smooth on my PC, stable, no bugs that I could tell and most importantly, fun but challenging to drive.
It also looks like the graphics have been improved or maybe its because I’ve been playing GT Sport alot but coming back to F7 on PC and the difference was stark. The enviroments and lighting affects just blow me away. It was like playing the game for the first time again.
At the weekend I hooked up my G29 wheel and had a few races with normal steering and then sim steering and was equally amazed at how good it felt. With normal steering it was fun to drive. I then did the same race on the same track but with sim steering and it was still fun but more challenging but still very driveable.
It is alot better than GT Sport with the same wheel.
Whether you play Forza with a pad or a wheel it just feels right. The weird understeer has gone and you can now really feel the limits of each car when racing.
A.I is still annoying but it makes for a interesting races.
F7 is now an amazing game and a most buy for any racing game fan.
Well done to Turn 10 for sticking with the game and polishing the rough diamand into the near perfect gem it now is.
What a great time to be a racing fan. I just wish I had more time to play
