All I know is Forza looks much, MUCH better here. And honestly, every single YouTube comparison video I’ve seen showing tracks of both games shows Forza having much nicer and more accurate tracks. And for the record, those are videos that generally rate Gran Turismo as a better game.

The feeling of the cars on the Nord in FM8 is more enjoyable than in FM7 but it lacks the sense of speed 7 gave, plus the track texture is leaps and bounds above in FM7.
Which will I spend more time on now, I’ll be giving it to FM8
It has definitely not been ported over from FM7 that’s for sure and I’ll say Thanks Turn10 for bringing it forwards on your release schedule.

I thought about buying it on Steam but then remembered all the issues Steam users were having at the start so just went MS store. Both options have the same negatives

That’s not how laser scanning a track works.
The kerbs are practically identical to FM7 and often way off the size they are irl. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s literally using the same mesh, something claimed to be impossible by Chris Esaki before launch

I gave it a run in an old Datsun and enjoyed revisiting it. But that carousel turn felt weird - possibly more realistic than before.

There’s a secondary exe in the game files you can attach reshade to instead. It works great
Anybody else really dislikes Nordschleife?
It’s the worst Nordschleife ever, because there are lights, fireworks, campers etc. all around the track. That is not the case IRL. It has to be dark on Nordschleife else it’s BS. This is NOT the “Green Hell” how it should be.

I can’t see any lamps on the IRL Nordschleife. Yes it’s daytime, but there are obviously no lights around the track. All i see are mobile phone 4G or 5G or LTE or whatever signal towers etc.
I did not know this but, I shouldn’t be surprised. The Xbox PC store versions of games are either unmoddable or have hidden game files.

There should be a track layout that has no festival or flood lights for a true challenge. And there should be one with the festival and flood lights for players like me who do enjoy it that way everyone is happy. And then I can choose weather or not to race this track on the pitch black layout or, race on the bright beautiful festival layout. If Turn 10 does add this option i would definitely try both layouts.

Yes they should add a 24 hour layout of this circuit and have no flood lights, im surprised they didnt have that layout along with the regular layout.

Pro Tip! Turn down the brightness ON your monitor to the Point where everything is as DARK AS you want it and than give the ring a Go. Should be an amazing and very immersive ride
have you ever watched the 24H race? There is all sorts of lighting, camp fires and things going on around the track at night. I have not yet tried Nords at night on FM2023 but what you are asking for seems kind of silly.
No it works just fine with ms store version,I use tonemap and lumasharpen.When you install it you pick the gamehelper instead of the fm exe and it works 100%
Yeah so what i don’t want the track how it looks like for a very short time, i want it to be how it is the rest of the year. It looks like Nordschleife Forza Horizon 5 kids edition.

I have watched a lot of Nords on board laps and never seen one done in the complete dark of night. There may be but I have not seen them. If all other IRL lap records are set in daytime conditions, and the 24H race (obv one of the biggest races in the world each year) is at night with festival going on, I don’t know that the experience you are looking for is actually (1) feasible IRL (2) or one anyone cares about.
