Almost no one plays GTX Sportscar Endurance Race

Maybe that’s another reason why the races are half empty. I really can’t be bothered sifting through hundreds of cars, one by one, to find a set up i can delete to make room for an event that will finish in a week.

Why do the spec events allow tuning anyway?

Or are T10 concious that their default set ups are mostly junk that the only way to make the event somewhat ‘fun’ is to allow tuning.

The limited save space for a player’s own tunes is a big problem since it’s very easy to have more cars than space for even one tune.
If you’ve already set up a car that is used in a spec series, a few of your settings are carried over but most are not, since they would need to be changed anyway. Even so, it’s not that difficult nor does it take much time to adjust a tune for a small change in car spec. It’s still mostly the same car.

AN hour is way too much time that I will commit with the current broken penalty system and if the class in the race has clear “winning” car/s that force you into something specific to not get destroyed.

I don’t think any settings carry over. You need to either amend the autosave spec tune or load up a separately saved one.

Agreed and that’s true for many Forza Motorsport divisions.

A total revamp of how the cars are bunched up together has to take place, or new tools to even the performance should be created, keeping in mind that in every category, there was at least 1 dominating car.

I wish we’d have some IMSA GTUs too, not just GTOs, the lower class had insane variety and look but most of those cars must either be dead or in rough shape now so that’s wishful thinking.

A couple IMSA GTUs

Do not mean to hijack the thread and turn it into a wishlist, apologies, but cool looking cars right?

You wrote exactly what I think, so I can only agree with you. Yes, we all know about the meta cars, but turn ten isn’t doing anything about it. Yes, and random people who just want to race, for me they’re just like you wrote. Just friends, I’ve written so many countless messages to people after a race, I’ve seen them again 2-3 times afterwards and it’s always been fun to race against these people, even if I don’t have them on my friends list or just met them by chance.

I wonder if people afraid of the old beasts and rather stick to their cookie-cutter modern Forza GT.

How could you forget these?

Now, if you want to talk about a series just about everyone forgot…IMSA RS Challenge…with the most eclectic group of race cars to ever hit the track…

I might agree.

This being in the wrong category is a bummer too.

The trick to audi is to put center diff to 95%, u lose a bit on start, but gain a lot in tyre wear and overall lap time on dry.

Giving the ramming metagame, gettind divebombed after 40mins of race can lead to some serius burnout.

They need to have the weather change at least 2-4 times per race. Actual randomness though, not guaranteed wet/dry/wet/dry. And not at even times like exactly at lap 10, 20, and 30 in a 40 lap race.

Also add snow for all tracks from spa to yas marinas.

vote, if we want random weather👇

You have to shift nearly all power to the rear wheels. Forced AWD is a death sentence to cars in this game. They are always off pace and have increased front tire wear. Latter can be minimized by above step but the lack of pace will stay.

I would stop playing immediately. This would be awful.

It’s a pity because GTX is one of my favourite categories, I tend to stick with the Ferrari (one of my favourite race cars of all time and also one of the best looking/sounding) but have started using the Whistler Mustang for some variety, can’t stand the Mazda for more than a few laps due to the high-pitched engine whine (accurate or not). Most of my races so far have alternated between ~12-16 starters (which tends to whittle down to about 7-8 by the finish) or only 4-6 starters (which sometimes you’re lucky to have a podium for - last night’s race at Sebring ended up with me in the Whistler lapping 3rd twice and about 70 seconds in front of second (ended quali with 6?, 5 only took the grid, down to 4 after less than a lap and then to 3 before the first pit stop).

i hate 75% of the tracks in this game and last thing i want to do is do 30 laps against people who will just ram me off track. the lemans and nord enduance races are the only fun ones

I know this seems like a good idea, but the way weather is implemented it’d be a mess for everyone. Theres no forecast mechanism whether before a race or during for people to choose the right strategy. If youre on slicks in the middle of le mans or the Nordschleife and it starts raining people are going to crash, a lot, which isnt fun.

They need either a pre race forecast with chance of rain, an in race doppler map like gt7, a race engineer that actually gives useful information like in f1 games or all of the above.
