it’s started like one year ago when all my game saves from every games has gone on my xbox 360, I do not know why, but I am over it, from now on I am saving all my game saves to the Cloud so it won’t disappear again hopefully. My question is, same thing happened to my Forza Horizon 2 I still have my multiplayer level but I had exactly 500 credits and 0 cars all of my stuff has gone. I can still play as beginner with my level of 48 but without anything except the rent cars. Is there any solution for this? Before I’ve had around 2mill credits, I’ve had ferraris, ford mustang, SSV car, pretty much all car I’ve wanted and i got the money from mostly leveling up on multiplayer. So what should I do? Does anyone can gift me cars that I could sell and help my situation out or what is the solution?
Dude, I have the same problem on xbox one.
The game froze, after reboot I have no cars, no perks, no challenges, I’m stuck in current championship for which I have to purchase a car, which I did, but can’t compete it cuz no races show available. I’m LVL 48 but own nothing. [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D] do I do now? Are these saves backed up some where? Let me know if a solution if you find out. Total bummer!
Wow, that is bad! For me it happened on 95% of all my xbox 360 games, and I don’t know why! But I was like sure, I pretty much completed all the games so I’ll just restart them, but yeah in my forza horizon 2 I am lvl 48 and have no cars and 500 credit. I even can play in the beginners with the 8-9 lvl and i am with my 48 lvl without anything lol. Well it didn’t take a lots of times for me to catch up with my progression, I had Orange wristband and now I am at purple and almost have the Orange and have 500k and I’ve played 10 hours overall to get these. But yeah seriously I’d like to get back my game progression, at least the money! I have around 2 mill, had all the cars I ever wanted in the game, that was just so awesome and the multiplayer leveling gave me like most of that money! The rewards of the lvl-ing up.
That’s interesting. I didn’t lose any of my money, but I can’t start a new championship. Correction, I can do that and purchase the car for it, but it won’t show any events? The intro has the guy speaking about how hard the championship will be, well it will be if there are no races visible.
Do you know how to reset the entire game? I’ll try online events, but nothing else seams to work to progress further in the game.
Thanks for your feedback as well! No one else seams to have the same problem. I guess we’re the lucky one’s
Im level 260, iv lost cars perks bucket challenges etc. i still hve 7million but i was 2 cars from the achievement of 175 cars in garage so sickend. Iv lost interest in playing cause everything is gone but id love to play it again such a good game. Any fixes forza come on!
Thought I share my assumption, who knows perhaps it has to do with the problem we’re having.
Previously when I would launch the game, when ever I’m done I’d put Xbox to sleep, come back and resume the game from the exact spot I left off. During that time I had the game freeze for about 4 times and fifth time I lost all progress.
Today I would exit the game completely and launch it every single time I played and not a single time that I got it to freeze.
I’m not sure if that’s the problem but so far so good.
I did have to delete my save since after lost progress I couldn’t get to any championship.
Either way, perhaps you guys can confirm whether you had been launching the game similarly when lost progress?
The xbox one has a few “covenience” features that sadly are broken.
My advice:
When installing games never play them when it says “ready to start”, always wait until the game is 100% installed and updated before starting to play. In addition to that I take it a step further with Forza games - When installing the game or downloading dlc I stay on the install screen and do nothing else on the console until it is 100% finished.
I do not use the instant on mode (sleep mode). I have changed my console power and startup setting to power saving mode.
I never turn my console off from within the game. I always back out as far as the game will let me then go to the xbox home screen, press menu on the big game tile and select quit. After that I turn the console off.
In FH2 always check the spinning saving icon in bottom right corner. Sometimes it seems to get stuck after you finish an event or leave a garage. If it does you seem to have to do something in the game and hope it clears eg I usually increase and decrease tyre pressure on my car so it thinks it has something to save.
I concur with SatNiteEduardo, I trust my PS4 a lot more to allow me to play whilst installing than I do my XBOne. I have had all these kind of issues with Forza5 but since changing my habits (ie. I do all what SatNiteEduardo suggests anyway) I have had no further problems and FH2 has been a dream.
Also, I’ve noticed that the modem transmit lights are still flashing furiously even after I’ve shut my XBO down, so I wait until the modem lights stop flashing before I turn it off.
