All goodwill I've had towards Forza Horizon is gone. It's over

I got the ultimate edition so too late to back out now

On the plus side, I got Fredric Aasbo’s Supra and Ryan Tuerck’s Corolla

To be clear I wasn’t targeting the pre-order crowd (you lot got snookered) or even the early purchasers (who probably hoped things would get better) with my remark above.

Despite this games reported success I personally believe they could have made considerably more money. Money’s not an issue for me and I purchased FH4 ultimate yet I haven’t purchased FH5 ultimate, car packs or expansions (yet) because there is no benefit for game pass players such as myself. I truly believe their only strategy around making money to date has been to do as little as possible to avoid spending profits on bug fixes, QoL features, community features etc.

Tbh this being a best of in terms of expansions with Hotwheels and F&F? Hey, I started at 4 so I would love that. But I get why for so many it’s this. :joy:

You know, one thing that has just occurred to me is how older consoles are going to handle this expansion if its supposedly going to be bigger and better than the first. My Xbox One S already lags in populated, condensed areas, and the more detailed and complex EventLabs dang near brick the console entirely.

Totally not a marketing scheme to sell new consoles… hehehe… which are sold out anyway, last time I was looking at least, which was a while back.

It is basically event labs with orange tracks.

100% agree. I’ve dedicated a lot of time to this game, and I felt absolutely nothing watching that trailer. worse then nothing.

This was the worst Horizon I ever played. Really hope MS change the people who work in PG. This has become a kids game. Worse than NFS… It looks like Ubisoft os doing horizon games

thats not possible because the NFS driving physics is just so ridiculous

I can’t wait to play new expansion. This is what Forza Horizon is all about: having fun. If I want realism or just to race I play ACC or Forza Motorsport games.

Only good NFS games were 1SE, 2SE, 3, Road Challenge,Porsche 2000, Shift 1 and Shift 2.

I too am looking forward to this expansion. Hopefully the MP element is fun and engaging.

So the only good Need For Speed games were the most realistic ones? Is this meant to be an ironic post?

After the first Most Wanted I never again truly enjoyed an NFS. Maybe that’s what some people are going through post FH3 and now newer people are here like me playing 5 thinking hey, I like this game, oh cool Hot Wheels!! I missed that last time.

Hmm…not sure how I feel about FH right now. So I spent 99.99 on a game I could’ve played for FREE on Gamepass…so that I can blind pre-order a couple expansion packs which I was certain to not either be Hot Wheels or Lego since they’ve gone down that rabbit hole before. To only have the leadoff expansion be Hot Wheels and on top of that to have them offer that same deluxe edition for $20 cheaper before I as a pre-buyer can even play the recycled expansion content as a thank you to the GamePass players for what exactly?

So for 99.99 I got pretty much nothing that I could’ve gotten for 79.99. This is a great way to treat your early adopters. I kinda deserve it, I guess since I pre bought the FH4 expansions which ended up as Legoland…It really isn’t about the $20.00 TBH, Its just bad business IMO.

as a preorder guy you got that “early access”
its maybe not worth 20 bucks but nobody can buy early access anymore

And you also got VIP priveleges and the full DLC car pass - both which probably cost another 20 - each - not to mention the second expansion. Whether it be good or bad, it will sill be another 20…

But don’t you now get that same VIP/full DLC car pass for that same 70 bucks now that the deluxe is discounted?

Only diff is that the converted gamepass players don’t get the benefit from weekly super wheelspin gifts over the past 6 months.

Hmm, that’s a disappointing change if so. At least I’m pretty sure when I bought it in FH4 it dropped all the “missed” wheelspins, which seems right as that’s what is was sold as and paid for. Made a nice few minutes and they had some value unlike FH5 since the nerf attack. Yet again they seem to shoot themselves in the foot and hit the customer with the ricochet. Another reason to not drop any money on the game.

As a Gamepass subscriber, I pre-ordered the Premium Add-On Bundle as I didn’t need to buy the base game for the addition content. I still got early access and everything else, and I’ll probably buy the base game when it goes on sale, before it becomes EOL so I can revisit at some point (as I did FM7 and FH4, and still go back to FH3 and FH2 occasionally).

Game Pass subscribers get deals on a number of games all the time, and that’s not a new thing. Games go on sale after a time, we all know that, and pre-orders always pay top dollar compared to those that buy a game later. That’s the way it’s always worked, and it’s up you whether you want to pay for the game at launch, or wait several months until it goes on sale.
