Just a quick response from someone who actually knows. Whats stopping forza from just creating all of the f1 tracks? If its simply down to licensing, why dont thet pay it, pass cost on to us, or is there something else?
There is something else, it’s called T10s mentality lol. Theres so much they can add to this game that we either have to be patient for and see if they will FINALLY listen or if they just wont do it out of laziness and doing things their own way. I dont think we neccessarily need every F1 track, I think we need all IMSA tracks before anything else. All else will just fall into place as time goes on.
It has nothing to do with Turn 10’s mentality. There’s a whole load of factors that play when it comes to what tracks are added or not, such as cost, licensing & priorities. As far as Formula 1 goes, it’s probably quite far down on the priority list namely because it’s a small percentage of the general audience & because those who want to drive F1 cars on the corresponding tracks will probably choose F1 2018 as it’s the dedicated official Formula 1 game. Not only this but licensing for F1 material is very tricky. For example I think games apart from the official Formula 1 game, are only allowed 1 car per modern season to be represented.
Cost is also a huge issue. Going to these tracks & laser scanning them is very costly, especially tracks more so to the east of the world like the Singapore GP & such. This is why there are far more tracks in & around America & even Europe rather than say, Japan.
It also comes down to priorities. There are so many series out there apart from F1 that haven’t even been touched yet. Let alone all the series that need serious revamping just like F1 does. So what do Turn 10 focus on first? IMSA? F1? WEC? LMP & GT? FE? Touring Cars? Drifting? Drag? There’s so many options out there taht it’s hard to zone in one just one. Take the NASCAR expansion for FM6. Even though it was great for NASCAR fans, a lot of people were upset they chose it ahead of IMSA let’s say. The same would happen if they decided to revamp Formula 1 a bit.
Bear in mind this is coming from a massive F1 & Schumacher fan. I’d die to see his F2004 & Magny Cours, Imola, Paul Ricard, etc etc. But there’s so many factors at play other than just mentality or laziness.

Most likely time and budget.
What? Do you think they have time for such petty things like new tracks? This is a motorsport game dude, what are you thinking? How are they gonna add more hot wheel/toy cars if they start working on pointless content like real world tracks?
Man this community sometimes…
“small letters at the bottom” - at this point, any new track is fine, doesn’t even have to be real ones. But no, let’s add another car so you can race mini rio with it.
I think Turn10 have could do it, but chosen to spent budget and resources elsewhere (like Barrett Jackson car pack)
it would be great if they trimmed some fat (Hot rods, SUV’s, 4X4, limos, Dubai, Rio, etc) and re-invested in more Motorsport content.
Myself and many others on the forum would pay for an Motorsport Expansion for FM7, there’s definitely a market for the content.
A current F1 expansion probably wouldn’t be possible due to licencing, but older generation cars “Formula 2000’s (V10)” or “1980’s (V12)” and a new circuit would be an epic expansion.
Or at the very least , ( as a bare minimum ! ) re introduce some of the older tracks that have been cut out from previous forza games.
How hard would it be to take tracks that already exist and re code them into forza 7 ?
We ve had bathhurst and maple valley added back in after all so if they can do that ,why not others?
Id pay for them .
In my opinion I agree trim some of the fat (remove some of the outrageous Driver’s Gear, remove some unnecessary cars, some more tracks as (ERT Tim) mentioned “re introduce some of older tracks that have been cut out from previous Forza games” and add some F1 Tracks, IMSA tracks, Some FE Tracks … I do understand there is a Forza Wish List Thread and Forza Car Wish List Thread and have posted on both, so I’m posting this as my general thoughts. I’m hoping Turn 10 is going to surprise us all in 2019 with more improvements through updates (tracks, cars, AI, physics, handling, suspension, vehicle dynamics, collision systems … well you drivers get my point) #ImprovingtheoverallMotorsportandRacingExperience

Im glad we are on the same page, im not complaining about the track list, far from it, i just feel forza does it better than the f1 game does although thats pretty good this time around. Meh. I agree with a lot of the posts though, if its time and money fair enough, that is what it is but even if they couldnt get the license . . .make a track . . .similar! I really loved the sunset peninsula track back in forza 2, there was another track in forza 1 which was good as well which we never saw again but i cant get forzas backwards compat! Shame.
An overall f1 expansion would be appreciated. I would seriously pay $50 for it as the RS 17 was the ONLY reason I purchased this game. Since the games release it been the only X class car worth using online so gameplay has become pretty stale. It would be nice to have another f1 car that could compete with it while still avoiding the issue of FM6 when the DLC Ferrari blew the lotus out of the water.

Agree, would be epic but needs to be grouped into competitive cars…
Formula 2000’s, just imagine those V10 sounds.
Hakkinen’s McLaren MP4/14 (WC1999).
Schumacher’s Ferrari (WC2004),
Alonso’s Renault R26 (WC2005),
Montoya’s Williams FW24 (2002)
Also Formula 90’s legendary additions.
Mansells’s Williams FW14 (WC1992)
Schumacher’s Benetton (WC1995)
Making 4 competitive cars in each Division.
Add 2 New tracks and update for Qualifying, animated pit stops and team radio (race engineer).
This would sell for $50.00 no problem… and might just tie me over until 2020.
No thanks. Most of the F1 tracks are pretty boring, and racing with fast open-wheel cars in this game is mostly terrible as most people can’t even control them while using TCS and ABS and totally spoil the experience.
A Blancpain, IMSA, V8 Supercars, or TCR all seem like far more interesting options that would provide better racing and far more exciting track choices… Although WTCR visits some pretty lame tracks.

I guess i was taking about expanding on single player, multiplayer would be a mess i agree, but hopefully improved with regulations.
The “boring” open tracks are mostly the ones in the game already, but i don’t consider them boring in cars that corner in excess of 300kph.
We already have;
Nurburgring, Silverstone, Hockenheim, Dubai, COTA, Spa, Suzuka, Monza, Catalunya.
Possible additional tracks;
Singapore, Azerbaijan, Monaco, Melbourne, Red Bull Ring, Canada, Brazil. Mexico, Russia.
I personally would love a street circuit for variety’s sake, what about classic Adelaide street circuit, as its great for touring cars, etc as well which i think is an important consideration.
Also, if they went down the more classic F1 route, i assume the licencing should be easier by avoiding some licencing issues with the F1 2019 game. Eg. Adelaide or Imola
Most classic F1 cars are now privately owned or display at places like McLaren Factory, Schumacher Museum, etc. there’s access to them.
Maybe onto something there…

While the parking lot tracks might be somewhat exciting in F1 cars, a lot of the game isn’t F1… I’d much rather have places like Zandvoort or Mosport that are good in all types of vehicles, so we can enjoy them in everything including street cars and touring cars and GTs and so on.
Of the remaining F1 circuits, Red Bull Ring and Montreal would be the only two I wouldn’t be disappointed with. Singapore would be pretty and would be interesting-ish as it’s got more of a street circuit feel, but it’s not nearly as good as other more regular street circuits would be. Monaco would probably excite people, but it’s not really a very good circuit for racing, plus it would be a consistent disaster in multiplayer.
I do agree the game needs more street circuits though. The fantasy tracks are really unrealistic as far as street circuits go, so I don’t really count them and that leaves us with just Long Beach. Admittedly a lot of street circuits really aren’t that great and are more interesting for their location/scenery than they are as racetracks, but there are some exceptions. Australians do them pretty well with Adelaide, Gold Coast, and Townsville all being pretty decent. If Turn 10 eventually fix their messed up drafting mechanic, then Norisring could be good for racing even though it isn’t a very exciting layout. Even just bringing us back the street circuits from FM1 (Rio, Tokyo, New York long version) would be a huge improvement, as they were fairly realistic street circuits… or at least they were compared to the current fantasy tracks.
Another area I feel the track list is lacking is in good short circuits. We have some short versions of longer tracks, but most of those are bad and end up feeling like driving hacked up circuits rather than natural tracks. Places like Knockhill or Pukekohe would be good additions, and I know many would say Tsukuba, although I’m not really a fan of it.
Unfortunately though, I don’t think Turn 10 really has the knowledge/desire to do anything that is kinda left-field. Unlike some of the other circuit racing games out there that seem to be interested in adding new places and okay with getting less known tracks, I really feel like Turn 10 just wants circuits with name recognition… Meaning it’s unlikely we see some great tracks like Sachsenring or Zandvoort or Potrero de los Funes and so on.

“Pass the cost on to us” sounds dangerously like paid DLC at quite a hefty price.
I don’t know the ins and outs of adding tracks to a game but licensing sounds like the main hurdle here.
I would like to see the old fictional tracks back on the game. I don’t believe they are affected by licensing.

The old tracks from FM1 would be great. They chose literally the worst one to bring back in Maple Valley. Alpine Ring and Tokyo would be my first choices… Long Beach is our only realistic street circuit so it would be nice to get another fairly realistic option, with Tokyo being the most interesting choice I think.

Nevermind F1 tracks, any new track at this point would be extremely welcome. No new track additions since FM7 launch whilst every other track racing game worth playing has added several
That said could you imagine Monaco in a Public lobby ?![]()
Ano
There thing I would like to add is if any are eventually added to the game (I have little faith) putting them behind a pay wall makes them entirely useless to competitive racers (RC and organised league racing) and those who race primarily in multiplayer. Specific lobbies for new tracks dwindle in popularity quite abruptly. They must be free to keep the small community still playing together.
Looking back at Forza 6 I barely got to drive at Homestead or ViR once I completed both the Porsche and NASCAR expansion. Now I look forward to driving these tracks with ViR being my favourite in game due to its demanding layout.
Now that an American company owns the media rights to F1 I would think this would be a cinch for the Studio to reach out to Chase Carey and say, “Hey dude, is there something you can do to get us all those amazing F1 tracks into our game, man?” Chase Carey, “Done”! It should be that easy! LOL!
Now that we’ve gotten to this point in the conversation it would be nice to hear from the Devs standpoint. With valid arguments from both sides now would be a great time to hear from those that actually work on the game because as this goes on the only thing we can contribute is speculations. I understand FH4 is priority right now but who from the FM7 team can we talk to.

Won’t happen.
RetroKrystal seems to be trying to improve communication over on the Playground side of things, but nothing is being done with Turn 10 and they have never addressed things that aren’t easy and/or positive answers for them.
They would rather have us speculate until the speculation breaks down into arguments and have their mods clean up the forum and ban people, than spend a few minutes addressing hot topics on their own forums.
