IMPORTANT NOTE FOR LINUX USERS

In our PC Specs article at Forza Support we announced:

Q: Can I play Forza Horizon 6’s PC version on Linux?
A: The PC version of Forza Horizon 6 is supported on Windows 10 / 11 and SteamOS devices. The game is not supported on Linux.

For anyone experiencing crashes on PC, when you report on the Forza Feedback Portal or Submit a Ticket at Forza Support, please clearly state whether you have - or have not - installed or tried playing the game on a Linux system. This may be a cause in crashing issues.

When to use Forza Support

We’re using the Forza Feedback Portal for general game bugs that affect many players.
We use Forza Support for account-specific issues, such as enforcement and game crashing.

If you see an error message in game that indicates going to https://aka.ms/ForzaSupport then please follow that instruction - we’ll be closing bug related topics in the FH6 Discussion section of the forums so that we can keep the forums focused on the game content, and send players with account issues to Forza Support so the team can look further into your specific details.

First Steps

  • Always reboot your device to see if that clears the issue before doing any reporting
  • Try setting back to Default and make sure you turn off any other programs that may interfere with the game app - just because apps work with other games - including FH5 - this is not necessarily going to be true with FH6 and this factor should be tested.
  • PC players can try updating or rolling back GPU drivers

Crashing

We’ve been reading your reports about some of the crashes and errors you are encountering in the PC version of Forza Horizon 6. We’ve already released a hotfix that makes improvements to the Invalid Loading errors, and we’re continuing to work on additional fixes that will be rolled out in future updates. Some of the crashes we’ve observed are from hardware that fall below our minimum supported PC specs or unsupported operating systems.

  • We highly recommend that players update their PC graphics driver to the latest version to ensure compatibility with the game:
  • Refer to the Forza Horizon 6 PC Specs to see the minimum and recommend specs for the game. The PC version of Forza Horizon 6 supports Windows 10 / 11 and Steam Deck. The game is not supported on Linux.
  • For troubleshooting PC-specific issues, check out these Support articles:
  • Note: The minimum supported GPU architecture for NVIDIA players is Turing. Forza Horizon 6 is not guaranteed to work for NVIDIA users with GPUs based on the Pascal architecture and older (for example GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 players). These architectures are below our minimum supported specification, no longer benefit from driver support, and you may therefore experience stability and performance issues.
  • Forza Horizon 6 will not work for AMD users with GPUs based on the Polaris or Vega architectures and older (for example Radeon 400 and 500 series players). These architectures are below our minimum supported specification.
