Does anyone else feel that aerodynamic mods aren’t as useful as previous forza motorsport games? It’s either that or my tuning skills have reached the next level.
In previous forza games I used aero upgrades on almost every car I used for racing. In fm6 not one of my cars has aero upgrades in A anf in S I even placed top 60 at the glen with my gt350 with no aero. My z/28 is a monster on tracks with more corners and less straights.
Anyone else noticing this or is it me? I want to know.
Aero upgrades are normally a must. Can’t remember on which car but I noticed that sometimes even if upgraded I can’t adjust both aeros. Both wings didn’t lower PI, and the rear wing increased top speed, so I think there’s something that needs to be fixed.
Yeah I went back to check if I really had upgraded it or not because I couldn’t adjust them when testing the car. Both aeros increased PI and the rear wing added top speed. I think the PI system is not right. The other night I tried to upgrade an A class car to the top of the class and I couldn’t upgrade all adjustable parts because race brakes would cost 15 or even more PI.
I think it depends on the car. The Viper SRT for example has a wing on it stock that provides a lot of downforce. Changing the wing on this car increases top speed, while I did not dive into it to see why I would assume that it is because it provides less downforce/drag than the one that comes on it.
I have built several cars with and without wings thus far and that is the only car I have encounter where the speed rating increased when adding a wing under aero options
There’s a subaru or evo (can’t remember which) where forza aero is not adjustable but one of the tuner front/rear bumpers is adjustable. I wouldn’t be surprised if other cars are messed up.
Maybe cars that are very track oriented in stock form come with good aero pieces by default that the manufacturers already tuned to work with the car. The two cars mentioned both have factory aero bits that fit this scenario
Checked again, I think it was the Ferrari 330 P4, and that’s also the A class car I was talking about earlier. It’s a shame I love this car but you can’t upgrade it properly to the top of its class because of the exaggerated amount of PI for race brakes, so you think let’s upgrade it to S class but all available parts are not enough to ugrade it to the top of S class. Frustrating lol
I have found that some cars that are lacking in hp will gain top end speed with rear downforce. Dont know ithis is an answer , but it is my observation.
