Adding picture to profile

Sorry, stupid question, but cant seem to find anything about it. How do you add your picture to your profile? Mine is just a boring grey dude.

For some reason, the only Gamertag photo this forum will display is one of your avatar. From the Xbox 360 or the Xbox One, go to your profile and choose to edit your avatar. From here, you see options to customize your avatar and to make a gamerpic. Selecting the ‘make a gamerpic’ option will create an image that will display in this forum.

If I remember, the reason the forums only display your avatar pictures is because the mods decided to do it so, while creating the new forums. I really changed my avatar since, and has not updated (even though my GamerPic) but I don’t mind and it makes people talk.

It also stops people having inappropriate avatars, but we still have sigs! lol
