Likewise. I prefer to multitask my goals and kill two challenges or more with one car. Next week, when the proper challenge drops, everyone who didn’t have the patience or whatever to wait will have to effectively just do it all over again since they’ll probably be grinding out the Smash 50 Lanterns then. So I could use the workaround to do 25 this week and 50 next week, or I could just work other stuff this week and do 50 next week and be done with both then.
Looking ahead helps, just ask those who today are wondering how they’re going to complete the Daily Challenge for today that requires a Festival Playlist completion when they already did the whole week’s worth yesterday. Now they’re hoping that tomorrow’s Daily Challenge will count as a “Festival Playlist” completion. Maybe it will, maybe it won’t. Maybe they’ll get it completed next week with the new Festival Playlist events, maybe not.
For what it’s worth, the daily challenges do count. I waited until yesterday to complete the first daily challenge, and the second completed as soon as I did.

Now that I got an Arctic Truck… What or when do I have to destroy?
Somehow nothing counts, did I crash the wrong things (street lanterns) or is it the wrong time, actually got the other accolade with the visit of guanajuato at Jan. 1st.
Does that mean I have to wait until jan 1st 2023?
Next Season (around 30+ hours away) will introduce the lanterns you need on the dunes. There is a weekly tied into it. So no one has missed anything. It’s not meant to be achievable yet, but the lanterns are available as custom items in Super 7 or something so you can do it early, now. But they will be readily available within 2 days and probably for a month or so. It fits Chinese New Year which falls 1st February. So don’t expect the lanterns to leave until a Season or two after that. We don’t even have all the cars released yet for the Accolade that accompanies it for owning specific cars.
This weeks challenge is the same smash the lanterns, so I went to the Super7 event again but there are no lanterns there now, foe me anyway but I tried making a Super7 event and lanterns are not an option either.
I fire up the game today for the new activities and realize my accolade score is moving up but did not know why. Lo and behold I had forgotten about the evolving world area of that menu and completely missed out on knocking out the 25 lanterns in one of the new Toyota trucks.
I do recall a task from last week having lanterns in it but since I’ve been spending less time with the game and avoiding accolade hunting, I overlooked that one being in there. I’m sure they’re gonna add new tasks in the next series but were the sand dunes the only place to find the lanterns? If so, is anyone still seeing them over there? I was waiting in an Open lobby earlier and I did see some atop of the hill BUT of course I wasn’t in either of the Toyota trucks.
Haha that would be an interesting expansion! Nope I’m going back to Nintendo Switch Mario Golf. I do not like what they’ve done to this game, so I’m spending less time with it until some things are fixed.
