Accolade: Another One Lights the Dust! (bugged or can't find laterns?)

Now that we can obtain the Toyota AT37, I’m attempting to complete one of the “Evolving World” accolade named “Another One Lights the Dust!”

Requirement: During the New Year, smash 25 Lanterns in the 2014 Toyota AT38 or the 2016 Toyota AT37

I can’t find laterns anywhere on the Map. I’ve tried smashing lightposts and tiki torches. Neither of those count.

Does anyone know where the laterns are!?

Since we are finally able to receive the AT37, I was trying to get through with this Accolade. I tried all kind of lanterns but none of them seem to work.
Did anybody manage to do it ?!

Firstly it is bugged, if you track it then the text reads ‘Smash snowmen’ not lanterns. Secondly the only 2 places I’ve found what I think are them so far are in Mulege and Guanajuato.

The screen here is from Guanajuato, if there are jumps to get up there and smash them I haven’t found any of those either.

Cound’t do it either. It says smash 25 snowmen when pinned btw:

Mine properly shows 0/25 laterns. Not sure why yours shows Snowmen (from last season).

After posted this, someone on Discord pointed me to next week’s Collectibles event named “Light the Beacons!” with a #forzalink reward of “Eat my Dust!”. I’m guess this will spawn the laterns that we need in order to complete this accolade. So probably still unobtainable at this time.

Ditto, mine also shows the proper goal when pinned. “Smash 25 Lanterns” but yeah, I’m lost so far for figuring out how to smash them.

Report that as a bug I guess.

I read somewhere, maybe Max posted, that they’re white lanterns and they’re on the ground. Maybe a restart will get them to show up?

The lanterns aren’t available yet. The thread right above this one states there’s another challenge next week that could spawn the lanterns.

Yep, I was (not very clearly) referring to reporting the misnamed pin description for a bug report. Clearly the actual challenge is not (as yet anyway) bugged, it’s just not the time to do it.

Not working for me either. Maybe they need to be turned on at night?

Edit: didn’t help. Must be the Eat My Dust lanterns next week

It’s not bugged, wait next week for the New year lanter to appear, it is not possible to acquire that accolade in this season.

White ground Lanterns will be in the dunes/sand. Not yet, though.

Be warned that the creator by using B class Toyota ruins the fun with mis-aligned ramps and what not.

Sometimes I will use a created blueprint event to get an accolade, but I usually prefer to earn them through non-blueprint gameplay. I think I’ll wait until the lanterns appear and then get it with my new AT37 Arctic Landcruiser. But it’s nice to know there is already another option out there.
