About the voting system

The current voting system in the forum is by work, so even if the car is the same, you have to vote separately. I understand that the cars required for Motorsport and Horizon are different, but from the user’s point of view, it is hard to say that voting is efficient. How about unifying the thread and making it possible to vote for Motorsport and Horizon in the grade selection column in the thread?

I’m not sure if it is possible, but I would welcome an easier switching between FH and FM voting of the same car entry instead. I propose a feature similar to the Fandom tabber, making it easier to switch between FH and FM voting topics. This would also make it easier to mirror corrections.

I don’t think uniting the votes and specifying the game in polls again is a good choice. Separate voting and discussions make it easier for devs to see what cars people want for each game.

In reality, the same car is being discussed separately in the FM and FH vote replies. I don’t think it’s efficient. I don’t care if I disagree with what I say as long as it improves the current situation.

Great suggestion! Unifying the voting process for Motorsport and Horizon could definitely streamline things and make it more user-friendly. It would save time and reduce confusion. Thanks for bringing this up!

They were originally unified, but it was eventually decided to separate the two games since some cars were clearly added with the intention of being added to Motorsport, but not Horizon. My personal rule of thumb is that if its unique-bodied sports racing car from the 50s or 60s and has headlights, then it’d reasonably fit into both games. Anything newer is usually pushing it.

Anyhow, I think it’s fine keeping them separate. Besides, new threads are at an automatic disadvantage anyways since most people only come to the forums when a hot brand new car is announced. Anything older than 2015 has a hard time amassing votes since there’s probably only 20 regulars on that side of the forums to vote for them. Combining the two threads would most likely not magically make the threads gain more votes.

I want the administrators to put in more effort. The search results are all mixed up, with results like “requests for improvements to car models, production cars, race cars” and so on. It’s very confusing.

At the very least, when the administrators create threads, I want them to include a link to FH in the first post if it’s an FM thread, and a link to FM in the FH thread. Since it was the administrators who created the threads, I want them to manage them properly until the end.
