aaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!!!!!!!

Just downloaded the patch and carparck was enjoying the transit,

when my console jumped to the the dashboard a said please load disc or go to store to buy forza!!!

Been trying for the last 2 hours to load any disc into the bloody thing

So I take it my day one console has developed the dreaded disc eating disorder

Thankfully none of my discs have been damaged

So its booked for pick up on Monday so 10days with out my forza at probably the most exciting time since release

And a 50 odd gb intall to look forward to and it hopefully won’t effect my vip status!!

Dont think it was the patch though, it has acted up a half dozen times this year when loading a disc

Thank god for my ps3 and burial at sea ep2 it will hopefully keep me sane

I know many people who get this regularly. They all simply start a game you have on your hardrive, (peggle, killer instinct etc) and then start Forza. For some reason it works.

Have tried it and it works intermently still doesn’t load blu ray films though and it only seems to work with fifa 14 strange!!!
I’m still sending for repair though couldn’t put up with that work around all the time

Have you tried turning it off at the wall and then starting it up?
I was having a problem where if i changed disc’s to play another game when the new disc was inserted it would come up with the “Disc is dirty or Damaged” error. Upon switching it of at the wall, which resets the Xbone’s standby mode, it refreshed the system and it continued to read disc’s again. Might fix your problem too

Have tried the hard reset ie unplugging it and it worked in the past but now it only works if I load fifa 1 from hard drive first then forza from disc still won’t load blu ray films and sometimes will or will not load dvds,
It also sounds like a slipping clutch so to be on the safe side ill get it sent of for repair before it goes terminal the repair progress has started so may as well go threw with it now than later.

If you are on the Xbox Live dashboard preview you should use the Preview Support forums instead of the standard support channels:

http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/xbox_support/xbox_update_preview/xbox_one_preview_support/wave_2_1404/default.aspx

Jinroh I just had my console replaced.

Make sure to install VIP and Car Pass if you own it before loading your saved game.

So put the Forza disc in and let in totally install. Then go to my games and apps and install any items listed on the far right. If that includes VIP and car pass awesome. If they are not there then do it from the store. They should be listed as free and ready to install.

Do all that before firing up Forza and you should be ok.

The syncing though can take forever but let it finish even when you think it may have frozen because of how long it takes.

I’m on my 3rd console because of this problem and the newest one is taking up to 15 times to load a disc and it is at random. I give up and watch TV a lot.

Ugh…good luck…microsoft just canceled the paperwork for my controller return a couple of days after receiving it… will be yelling at em monday as well…

If you are part of the update preview then that is the issue. I have to hard restart every time I change a game. They say they have a fix in testing and will be out in the next few days.

This is exactly what I experience. Well I guess that’s what I get for signing up for the preview. Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea

i am having this exact same issue and i’m not on the update preview

Check your system os under settings if the first 4 digits are 1404 your on the preview os if its 1403 you may have the blu-ray drive fault.

just checked my firmware and its the april 1404 preview so i take it that this is the problem… sneaky buggers!

so should i cancel my repair as what I’ve read online is the same symptoms i have, no disc recognized

this update effects the blu ray drive so that’s why I can still play dvds .

I’m in the preview. I haven’t taken forza out for months now so whenever I get that message I take the disk out and put it back in and it works every time. Seems like MS is going to be getting a few working (relatively) consoles back due to this issue.

Console seems to be working fine now that ive done the work around thats on the the preview update forum,

Microsoft support say they cant cancel the repair but that it will stay open for the next 30 days after that it will be automatically deleted off there system.
