A word of advice

So yesterday dinner i took delivery of my brand new Ferrari 599XX steering wheel for the TX wheel.

I was really pumped because this wheel reeks of quality and looks stunning. (Well worth the money)

I couldnt wait to get online.

I set it up to the PC and recalibrated and checked firmware.
(Although on this occasion the FFB felt very weak…)

I got into the game and things were good (except light FFB)

The bug where the steering ffb x200 force occurred.
(Others who have experienced this no what im talking about.)

I use:
FFB 60
Vibration 65

I had only two bends to go and tried to drive through it to finish the race.

I can only describe as a snapping sensation occured and the wheel went totally limp and turned off.

A strong smell of burning emmitted through the vents.

I have not been able to power the wheel on since.
No power, no recognition to PC or Xbox One, no calibration.

Dead as a dodo.

Wheel occasionally turns on for one sec, Twitches and turns off.

Please take heed fellow wheel users.

Do not try to drive through this under any circumstance.
Just back out and it resets itself.

I do not hold turn 10 or this game responsible in any way, i class it as just unlucky.

I have read many posts on the internet that some peoples wheel have only lasted 50 mins (not relating to Forza franchise )!!!

I cant get a refund from thrustmaster as i purchased from ebay on release as thrustmaster were sold out.

Thankfully the now sell the stand alone unit for £220.

Hopefully, my new unit wont take long as i just cannot get used to the controller :frowning:
