Im definitely not the First one To have seen these 10* 2999 lvl players in Lobbies. But when it comes to their Actual skill, there isnt any. They literally hit everything at full speed or ram. Many times They Cant control their cars at all but according to their achievement they Have 100% unlocked the game. Wich i find highly suspicious.
In some cases They dont even act Like Real People.
I just had one of these in a co-op championship but instead of Racing, he/she just Parked at the Starting line and waited for us (Teammates) to win the Race For him.
Normally The game would kick players after a certain amount of Inactivity but not that player.
I checked at the second Race if he/she would do the same tactic Again.
Waited at the starting line.
Noticed that i wasnt moving so it started rolling at a measily 50km/h.
I know that the car can go much faster then that (peugot 105 Rallye)
Sure i admit i got frustrated.
But i honestly think that these players shouldnt be allowed to play Online.

Get a screenshot of the player with the suspicious level.
Then, check the xbox profile to see the person’s game time, and see if it’s possible the level is legit.
If not:
Take a screenshot of the profile
Use the “report a player” option when creating a ticket, and report them for modding. Attach your screenshot.
The account should get a device ban, but support won’t tell you what action is taken.

Yep, there are definitely more of them since the last update. I’ve reported three of them by now. For the first one I got an “action was taken” reply from the support. The tickets for the other two are still open. It seems to take more than two weeks for them to take action at the moment. Not sure what the issue is but they reacted much faster before.
In general it’s quite bad to rely on reports in such case(s). There should be a way to sort things like this out automatically. The support clearly has better things to do and it’s just clogging up the “pipeline”.
The problem with such players isn’t only the faked level by the way. Many of them will also use the mod menus with which these faked levels get generated to cheat in other ways.

The worst part is that players are able to post their modding videos on youtube without getting flagged because there are enough people dumb enough to try it

I have had it happen to me recently too and it is frustrating to say the least.

Welcome to online gaming is my stance on this. Sadly. Just take a Look at the rival times or the hall of fame leader Board.
I’ve learned to ignore those players and their “achievement”, as it doesn’t affect my gameplay at all. If anything I know immediately what to expect from such players, it’s like a warning.

As long as They dont turn the next Horizon into a Live Service.
Just look at what Ubisoft did to THE CREW.
Not only did they shut Down the Servers with no way of playing it offline, they are now starting to rewoke the ownership of anyone who bought it digitally. Removing it from stores. They basically say that we dont own the game we bought and now want to make sure that we can never play the game again in the future.
Given that The Crew 2 and Motorfest use the same principle its only a matter of time before both of those games will get shut down too.
Its a Scam. You buy a game for a Limited time but then cant play it anymore, loosing all the money you spent on it as well as all things you unlocked.
And its not like The Crew 2 Or motorfest are good either.
Id argue that for me THE CREW was the best, The Crew 2 is Mediocre and Motorfest is a snoozefest.
Im saying this because the crew literally became a Horizon clone.
I honestly dont know what to expect from the next horizon. I wish we had a better singleplayer Expierience
And A less convoluted multiplayer. They did it great in Horizon3.

Incorrect. I recently got a FH4 cheater banned. I know for sure he was device-banned because he complained to one of my friends about it.
When you’re talking about “device” do you mean an Xbox?

Just reported the next player with max level. He hasn’t even played the game for 2 days in total according to his Xbox profile.
This is getting out of hand!

There are people, usually with max level getting 100 to 150 achievements in one day which surely can’t be possible. You’d think that PGG or MS would be able to detect that.
Looking at this week’s Hot Wheels speed trap event, in first place is someone with over 10,000 mph. There’s over 1000 players with dodgy times. I stopped scrolling eventually.
Like most problems with Forza games it’s easy to say PGG, T10 and MS don’t care, but these leaderboards have been crooked since FH3 added PCs and nothing has been done to clean them up, which shows the devs don’t care. They occasionally mention it but not recently to my knowledge.

Either console or PC can get banned.
Xbox or PC can be classed as a “device.” Microsoft have been formulating Device ID’s for the purposes of Windows licensing for decades so every machine running a Windows OS (Xbox runs a flavour of Win 10) can be uniquely identified when accessing MS services and be banned from accessing any of the services at the discretion of MS
This is what a Device Ban is so if you get your Xbox banned then the console is pretty much useless unless you are a 100% offline gamer
The moral of the story is don’t do things that will result a device ban. This is something pretty much all of us don’t need to hear but there are people out there messing about and if they get caught then they will certainly find out the hard way
As much as I’d like to be optimistic about FH6 not being a live service mess; I’m also a realist and can see the way that the gaming industry, especially the AAA studios, have jumped all in for live service, micro-transactions, subscription models and the you’ll own nothing mindset after seeing it work so well elsewhere in the software industry
Forza Motorsport is already a live service mess and it’s important to remember that this is made by a Microsoft studio as is Forza Horizon.
The same Microsoft who gleefully forced users out of standalone office products into their 365 subscription offering, forced online MS accounts on Win 11 users and continue to nag Win 10 users to use one, continually push the “everything in the cloud” and “do it with AI” mantras and if you believe the speculation in the tech community, Win 12 may well have a subscription based purchasing model
There are more anti-competitive/anti-consumer issues I have with MS regarding live-service and lock ins but I’m likely to go too far off topic.
FH6 may be well and truly sunk if there is too much top level interference but I do hope that PGG have a certain amount of autonomy from MS management to minimise the anti-features that MS like to push into products
The playlists as they exist now are fine but we do need a proper career mode and more diverse multiplayer system too

Sad but true. Thats why i would support Smaller studios over AAA ones.
And It does Work.
Remember The Old Jet Grind Radio & Jet Set Radio Future for The OG Xbox?
SEGA hasnt touched that series for years.
So a small Dev Team Called Team Reptile made a Spiritual Successor called “Bomb Rush Cyberfunk”
They even got the JSRF music producer Hideki Naganuma on board to add some of his new Songs to the game (Jack da Funk, Get Enuf, Da People)
The game is Reasonably priced, hella fun to play and you can freely switch between Inline skates, Skateboard, BMX and Freerunning.
They absolutely delivered what fans wanted!
There are also websites and comunities out To preserve old Games and keep them playable.
Im doing a Wait and see approach to any new game, snd if i dont like the new trend then i just go back to my old Games.
Id even be willing to get an Emulator or an old Win10 or even XP setup just to play games from before 2010 or in some really rare cases before 2000.

With Forza, I will be giving it benefit of the doubt until I can see and/or play a release product because it’s their reputation to lose as it was with Turn10 and Motorsport
You are right about retro games and indie studios. That seems to be where the interesting stuff is now. I love that Baldur’s Gate 3 blew everything else out of the water last year and PalWorld has done the same this year highlighting that it’s not just the big few studios out there.
I do follow some of the retro/emulation communities. The Internet Archive has some good titles to explore too.
I took a couple of gens off from console gaming and I’ve not played Jet Set Radio but know of it so I will take a look (i assume it’s on Steam or GOG) but I’ve been playing some classic Sega Megadrive & PS1 games recently through RetroArch on my Linux system getting back to my youth. Gran Turismo had an excellent soundtrack
For Win XP, you shouldn’t have any issues but remember the 4GB memory limit. I wouldn’t go earlier than that due to driver issues and keep it offline otherwise it’s likely to end up being another node on a botnet so if your PC is fairly modern (mines an i7 4th gen) then anything up to the 360 era should be fine for emulation
