A class Corvette C2 class build

I am building Corvette C2 A class, here is the list what I have upgraded:

Engine and Power

  • Air filter: race
  • Intake Manifold and Throttle Body: race
  • Carburetor: race
  • Ignition: race
  • Exhaust: race
  • Camshaft: sport
  • Valves: race
  • Displacement: race
  • Pistons and Compression: race
  • Oil and Cooling: race
  • Flywheel: race

Platform and Handling

  • Brakes: race
  • Springs and Dampers: race
  • Both front and rear anti-roll bars: race
  • Roll cage: race
  • Weight reduction: race

Drivetrain

  • Clutch: race
  • Transmission: race
  • Driveline: race
  • Differential: race

Tires and Rims

  • Tire Compound: race
  • Front/rear tire width: both stock
  • Rim style: Dymag 9 spoke
  • Front Rim Size: stock
  • Rear Rim Size: 215/40/20

Aero and Appearance

  • Front bumper: Forza 4 race
  • Rear wing: Forza 4 race
  • Hood: Forza 4 street

Conversion

  • none

The setup gives me A596

  • 1,255 kg
  • 389 KW peak power
  • 1.027 lateral G’s

But when I bought somebody else’s tuning, it is far superior than my. One of the setup has A600

  • 1,218 kg
  • 459 KW peak power
  • 1.061 lateral G’s

I am very cautious how it is even possible, what adjustment I show do to make it happen. If I go down the road to do engine swap or install turbocharger or supercharger it seems to bring the car well over 600.

Probably I haven’t grasped the idea of class building yet, but if somebody could point out some direction to me?

Try the first advan rim.

The are 3 light rims in the game. Advan is the first one comes into mind.

I tried all rims, I think Dymag, Koning and Advan are all light weighted.

Perhaps that tune only has max power and max weight reduction and no handling improvements.

I would not say so, because the lateral G is even better than mine.

Isn’t it possible that weight reduction would up the lateral G’s?

It will, but it also increase the class score a lot.

Hi, Here is my build as a base for you to use. Depending on what assists you use, to save a few PI points, I would suggest getting rid of the clutch upgrade as it’s not needed if you use manual with clutch. You don’t need the camshaft upgrade as these rarely provide much benefit in Forza. The stock transmission on the C2 is fine and an upgrade is not needed unless you were wanting to run it at somewhere like Le Mans. Hope this helps.

Anything not mentioned is stock:

Engine and Power:
Conversion - Centrifugal Supercharger
Race Air Filter
Race Exhaust
Sport Valves
Race Displacement
Race Centrifugal Spercharger

Platform and Handling:
Race Brakes
Race Springs
Race ARB’s
Race Roll Cage
Race Weight Reduction

Drivetrain:
Race Diff

Tyres and Rims:
Race Tyres
Max Width Front and Rear
Stock Rims

Aero:
Forza Race Front Bumper
Forza Race Rear Wing.

That will give you:
A600
603 Hp
570 LB-FT
2887 LBS
1.070 Lateral G’S

Half the battle on Forza is finding a build that works for you, and the best way to learn is through trial and error and experimentation. Hope this helps and good luck.

Berzerker.

Wow… this is great, I can give it a try over the weekend. The only problem for me is that I use controller not wheel, I feel it is too painful to use clutch on a controller.

Try switching your clutch to the “A” button, makes it easier to shift. (Or for me it does at least)

I’ll add in the quote few little things

If this left you even more confused, Feel free to invite me in to party and I’ll talk you trough it.
