Just saw, my post has been moved here.
So, I just want to make clear: I’m not moving to FM7. I just stopped playing Forza. I was able to try GT7 the last weekend. It is a good game, but I doubt, I will buy a PS5 just for an old racing game. Maybe GT8 will convince me, but for now, I play no racing game.
Yeah they merged everything, now too many people at the same place for slightly different concern, a good way to shut us up. I’ve stopped playing this garbage too, I’m on ACC now not FM7.
This is the first time I utilized the forums, and I’m confused…where are the responses from the Devs? Is there any real connection between us and the Devs? We’re posting and they just don’t say anything? Maybe I’m just bad at reading, but it feels like we’re getting ignored. I don’t expect my questions to get answered, I’m just showing how confused I am. The newest Forza game is unbelievably out of touch. Like they didn’t take in much feedback on the last game. Idk. I just wanted to come here and see if anything was getting done…and I’m still unsure. Aha. Excuse my ignorance.
The devs don’t respond to the forums ESPECIALLY if it’s in response to negative reviews. Rightfully so, they’d get torn apart. If I were involved, I’d stay clear of the forums too.
In general, the developers have been mostly quiet with 2 half baked responses to the outpouring of bad press.
I appreciate the response. And that is sad to read. As long as they keep up with the half-baked posts, it will be a half-baked game. Really wish they were better at addressing criticism. But I’m sure this has been said many times here, so I imagine it’s frustrating to come back and read. Apologies for that
T10 has everything they need to make a quality game. They chose to cut every corner possible to maximize cost and it’s biting them right where it should. I’m glad the masses aren’t falling for their terrible development. I want to see a better game but I also want to see the building burn to the ground due to their laughable responses. At this point, let it burn.
This. Update 4 better do something about the constant crashes when joining online multiplayer or it’s going to be a long slow ride downhill.
It won’t be that long. The zero altitude will soon be reached. Negative player numbers would be a novelty.
ive been playing forza for over 12 years and T10 never listened and never will…
if they get sick off you here on the forum they just ban you off the forum… dont ask how i know
I’m actually thinking of going all the way back to Forza Motorsport 1. I had so much fun in that game. I ordered a Scart to HDMI converter which should arrive soon. Then I will test if my OG Xbox still works properly. I would love to convert it to a quieter SSD and new fan but that requires a few extra parts and steps.
completely agree as a 94 silvia K owner this game makes the car feel like sludge and so slow that it wont even slide in first or second like it does when i drive it in person
They value community feedback so much that they’ll respond to it 4 times a year.
Ha! I don’t need to ask how you know! I know all too well!
Somebody did the same but with a different developer (Milestone).
After weeks and months of raising negative comments and getting no response, you know what they did? Ban her from the Facebook page AND support ticketing system. The gaming industry is in a despicable state and large developers with major funding are right at the forefront.
Thankfully, T10 listens. Progress is sometimes slow, but at least they listen. I’d take T10 over stuck up and arrogant Milestone any day.
Well, I get what you are saying. But my point is not whether T10 listen or improve, instead, what I am complaining about and what I think should not happen is that T10, a well-established studio, spent many years developing the current Forza, which is in the same category as all those many titles they release before, but eventually released a game that is full of issues and barely playable that even the most loyal and reputable match organizers stopped planning community races in this game…
Just like, a fairly well established company have been manufacturing and selling mini fridges since almost 20 years ago and have released 7 generations of mini fridges before. They spent time from 2017 to 2023 on their 8th gen product but after release, customers found numerous issues in their new mini fridge. The new mini fridge is barely functional and customer are definitely not getting what they are paying for and what the company advertised. The company behave like they listen to people’s opinions and like they are trying to improve, but are they excusable?
FM7 might be the better game but there’s no possible way I could take those physics seriously anymore. No way I could go back. It’s not even comparable.
I haven’t played FM in 3 or 4 weeks now. That being said, I went back to FM7 for about 15 minutes and shut that off too because it was hard going back to that after FM. I do think they got aspects of FM much, much better but there’s too much wrong with it, to be satisfied. If they fix the bugs, the old car models, polish it up a smidge and get rid of car points, the game will be 80% of the way there and I could absolutely live with that. I’d be happy with that until they added in more tracks and game modes, lobbies etc. But again, right now, I’m not playing FM for the unforeseen future. As about as unforseen as their communication with the community.
So the original grand theft auto was supposed to be a racing game but an error in the code caused the cop ai to go haywire and just repeatedly ram the player. The developers had so much fun with this bug in the code that they decided to build a game around that mechanic rather than continuing on with what they had going for their racing game.
Perhaps t10 can do the same. Take the horrible caveman brained robots that ram you, and the atrocious penalty system, and the generally hated CarPG system and make a game thats based on turning these horrid flaws into a positive.
What I suggest is ‘Masochism: A Racing Game by Turn10’. If you like getting rammed hard (by the robot drivers), punished (by the penalty system), and humiliated (by the lack of progression you receive versus the amount of effort put in to the CarPG system) than Masochism: A Racing Game by Turn10 is for you.
Dont worry guys, this marketing is free. But if you wanna help me with my mobile game as compensation i wont say no… Actually on second thought ive seen what you consider a mobile game…
Cool story bro.
Revisited FM7 back in November after getting some tips on how to simulate the feeling of FM8 and boy is it good!
I deleted my old save and started from scratch as I wanted to enjoy the career all over again even if that meant giving up Rank 45.
Straight away I forgot how enjoyable and functional the game was, buy a car, race it spec or homologate it’s up to you, want to chuck in a race trans and AWD no probs, slap on a turbo with your creds, drop the ride height and select Road Atlanta for a 30 lapper no problemo
The A.I is more than capable when set to unbeatable, it actually has awareness unlike the schizoid A.I in FM8
The Graphics in FM7 , Crisp Clean and Vibrant, a pleasant revisit after the 3 painful weeks of tweaking this and that in FM8 to only get a grey washed out semi average tone with certain track surfaces that looked like they were modeled using some sort of cement putty wiped between synthetic turf that had been left out in the sun too long.
The wet weather racing is a blast!, set your race to Rain Thunder start, heavy rain mid race and cloudy for the end race scenario, just pure enjoyment, puddles of fun.
The sound effects, miles ahead yet the game is 2017
There’s just no comparison even with the semi fun physics of FM8. FM7 does everything better and has a money worthy single player career, nuff said
