I have been playing for a couple of hours then I tried to connect a live event, then suddenly my fps dropped from 75 to 15-20 fps? Restarted the game, updated the drivers but the game runs at 20 ish fps. any ideas?
Running gtx980 on i7 4790k btw.
Man, I have the exact same problem! I don’t know what’s happening, all of sudden from constant 72 fps to 25/30 fps. I have an i7-7700k with a GTX1080 
Weirdest thing isn’t it? Will try reinstalling the game now.
A quick update; tried
*Removing the game completely
*Cleaning the drivers with DDU completely
*Installed new drivers
*Insatlled the game again
YET IT STILL RUNS AT 20 FPS MAX. Seriously guys all of a sudden ftw??
Since 27th of September this game ran at 75 fps, now it’s capped at 20 fps without even doing anything to it.
Have you tried to set the FPS to uncapped? , i got that problem when i logged out and started the game again i had 25 fps and reseted Graphics Settings.
The game runs smooth in 100-140fps Ultra 5820k whit a 1080Ti
This happens to me frequently. Go to the video settings, the FPS gets capped to 20fps for some random reason. You can set it higher in the settings.
Tried Vsync off, on, capped at 60 fps etc. still runs at 20.
Got the same issue now. Game was running fine at 60FPS before. When i start the game now it fluctuates between 10~20FPS…
The game is unplayable now.
Also: When i close the game the forza horizon .exe doesn’t close and keeps running…
