Well, I seem to figured out a fix (for me) that I had while using FH4 and OBS to stream. It probably is also a proper fix for people that use 144hz/fps and/or Gsync.
Basically I run on an i7 4790 and a GTX1070 with a Gsync 144hz screen. When I play FH4 on its own it runs perfect. When I opened up OBS the FPS in OBS was about 20/30. Not great at all. Also it made the game feel more unsmooth than normal while still having 70/90 FPS.
So I started messing about with options. When I figured out that this issue could be a lot of stuff that could be messing with it. 1 of them being the CPU gobbling the game does, as it uses all my CPU pretty much. Been messing with FPS in game, and Vsync and graphics settings which all helped a bit.
First of all, dont use MSI Afterburner, EVGA Precision X or OBS Gamecapture, because it crashes your game instantly.
But I fixed my problem with putting the OBS priority to high in Task Manager and having my OBS on my main screen. (Having OBS on my main screen because the game is borderless ‘‘fullscreen’’ and messes up the FPS and makes it more unsmooth.) After this the FPS in OBS stays 60 all the time and my FPS in FH4 feels smooth and stays around 70/90 at all times which is perfect. With the settings on Ultra, FPS on Unlocked Variable and Vsync off.
