Hi people, I’d like to hear you opinions about these things:
-
In my opinion #35 Maserati MC doesn’t belong to Forza GT class, at least in current configuration. It is super fast - yes, it sucks in corners - yes. 'So what’s the problem? ’ you’d say… The problem is VERY SHARP difference in speed/cornering performance compared to other cars in Forza GT class. It means that this car absolutely dominates straight line / oval sections while BLOCKING traffic in tight corners - sections where other cars have chance to gain time in race with Maserati. So basically it just ruins the race for everyone bullying other cars on the track. What makes it even worse is presence of No-chicane layouts of Le Mans, Daytona and Monza in Endurance GT hopper where this car is purely OVERPOWERED. Drivers who switch to Maserati on these layouts instantly lose any respect. They also usually miss their braking points on these tracks WITH chicanes which again ruins it for everyone. It is simply unfair.
And the fact that it fits in Homologation specs brackets doesn’t mean it is perfectly balanced. Even FIA applies mods to cars specifically built for exact class.
A few ways to fix it:
a) remove no-chicane layouts of Le Mans, Daytona, Monza from Endurance GT track rotation. (Easy, but the problem remains)
b) balance Maserati specs out by changing how Homologation plates imact this particular car performance
c) remove car from Forza GT class completely if b) option is unrealistic according to IRL car specs -
We need an option to turn off dashboard reflection on windshield in cockpit view, like in PC2. Cockpit view already limits drivers awareness by low FOV/bad POV positioning and these reflections just complete it. Sometimes it just pops on/off the screen not depending on the lighting simply being distracting and unrealistic. In some cockpits it basically creates a huge blind spot in front of you.
