So I’m (SU scoops) gonna start doing real vs game comparisons just for fun. Going threw car specs to lap times.
And the first car is:

Price: RL, 92-97,000. FM5,98,000
HP: RL, 560. FM5, 552

Depends where you buy the car, I guess. One of my local car-sites lists the 0 to 62.137MPH time as 4.4s for the speed-limited M5 and a torque of 501.54lbft. There are other cars in this world that have different specs left and right depending on local laws.
And it WOULD help massively for non-technical readers if you would post the units for all of your values; not everybody here used imperial measurements in-game or IRL.
you never get the same time lap as real life, because ( like in FM4 ) the circuit ( about 20,8 KM) in the game is more long this is an old problem of FM4 and now FM5…
How can it be more long when they laser scanned the track?
The last 4 games the track was longer and wider but this one seem to be more accurate. Depending on your skill level you should be able to run sub 8min with this car.
Cause it, like the others, arent laser scanned like the meaning laser scanned implies.
“Artistic vision” and “fun” are added… Imagine if Iracing pulled that stunt.
I suggest that you actually look at the video they made about how they made the FM5 version of the track. assets from FM4 were thrown away.
This is only a game, something to play to pass the time of day, I wouldn’t worry to much about the differences
Agreed; can’t even change the S-AWC setting for the Evo X in FM5… And I can every second in real life… 
I test drove a 2012 M5 last week that’s for sale at a luxury pre-owned lot about a block from my house. I didn’t get to open it up of course, but I could feel the beast within. It was easily one of the best cars I have ever driven. (I’ve been fortunate enough to drive some legends in my day.)
I want it badly. It might be almost 2 years old but they still want an arm and a leg for it, though.
HP is 552 according to TopGear when they tested it, alot of sites just round it up lol, mph is close enough for most cars in the game, although some are wayyyy off lol
Interesting idea but the biggest variable is the driver. Skill level and lack of imminent death will make it hard to replicate.

With that said, souldnt the game Lap times be faster than the RL times do to the lack of imminet death? Im going to run this when I get home and see what I get.
I know and don’t expect lap times to be exactly the same as what is posted in real life. Due to well it’s a video game and I’m not a pro driver in anyway.lol. I wanna do this for my own enjoyment and share for thoughs that care.
Of course it’s not gonna be the same. Not only just be cuz it’s a video game but even if the game and my driving were on point to real life. You still got to worry about little things. Track temp. PSI. Etc. I just do this for my own enjoyment.

From a stand still I ran a crazy 8:05 sliding all over the place. This car is more than a hand full. Lol

When talking about lapping the 'ring, you mean only the Nordschleife, right? Not the Nordschleife + GP circuit?
