No! Just no! A car doesn’t count as “common” if I have to spend like 100 hours playing the game to earn the credits to buy it. No. No “Common” car should be on the auction house. Those should be in the store because…THEY’RE COMMON! I refuse to pay 10+ million for a '1994 Honda Prelude. OR a VW Karmann Ghia…or a Monte Carlo. Okay the Ghia maybe I’ll pay 10 million for…maybe. Seriously though…whoever decided the Prelude should be a unicorn is a sick person. It’s a Prelude. I can buy one of those for under 3,000 IRL dollars. I’d rather save my money and buy one of those than spend 20 million fake dollars on one. That’s…Again, No.
I also have always hated Unicorn Cars. But, I’m opposed to giving exclusive cars and items to .01% of people. It’d be like Call of Duty locking of the P90 behind…not even random chance. More like, you did something the devs liked and they awarded you with one. Because that’s fair, right? I mean, at least The Crew 2 is MOSTLY doing tuned versions of cars. Giving out the FE editions would be fine. Weren’t those supposed to be the new unicorns anyway? For…that reason? So people didn’t feel like they were cheated? That all the cars were available in game and the Forza Editions could be built with the parts in game. But, somewhere along the line someone went “hey, Remember when we locked away the RX-7 Spirit R and only gave it out to a handful of people? We should do that again. Only, this time lets pick worst cars that no one in a million years would pay 20 million for.”
I’m actually at a point in the game where everything I don’t own is over 1 million credits and looking at the Auction House is just disappointing. The only ones left I can get for round a million are pretty much the handful I haven’t bought from the Autoshow. Which, don’t get me wrong, saving about 8 million on a Bugatti Type 35 C will be good, but…I just look at the Mini Countryman, Aston Martin SL, VW Ghia and others that I REALLY want and just sigh and resolve myself to the fact that unless Playground pulls a Forza 7 and releases all the cars to…those of us who don’t want to spend an eternity playing 1 game, I probably will never own them. Close to 100 cars just shut behind glass made of diamond with plaques of solid gold. I imagine someone really famous must have owned all of them once. But not me.
Seriously, though, if I ever get 20 million real world dollars, I’m going to hunt down and buy everyone who’s selling a 1994 Honda Prelude for 20 million fake dollars a real Prelude, so they can know that selling one for that much is so insane, they might actually consider admitting themselves to an asylum.
You are blaming the game for the actions of a handful of users? Those with “legendary” tuner/painter status get the option to up their Auction House prices and do so on some vehicles in a supply and demand kind of way. If you Don’t want to pay the prices then figure out how to earn them another way.
I’m currently making my way through the LARACER chapters to gain the Monte Carlo as its the only Chevrolet i don’t own and won’t pay 10+ Million for it either.
Thats a funny post, just play the game and earn some money - its not that hard. I have all cars I would ever want and then some - and so much money that I can buy the cars I want times 10 - but I have also played it since the game came out.
My guess is you have gotten the game less than a month ago and expect to have any car you desire… just play and enjoy the game, the prelude is not even that cool, nor is most of these “pumped up’ed value cars”
I still have a few cars that I cannot get my hands on(Capri FE, Pista etc.) but Im an not gonna let that stop me from enjoying the 715 cars I already have:-)
Yeah. That requires skill a lot of players don’t have and the only OTHER way is to get lucky with a wheel spin. But, yeah, those “handful of others” also encourage cheating like Wheelspin reward editing. Which further ruins the economy.
Also, yeah, I’m saying a spoiled few ruin the batch. It’s just a fact. I finally paid 1.7 million for a Prelude.
I KNOW the Prelude isn’t a good car. That’s what I said. IRL you can get on dirt cheap. But, I’m trying to get all the cars in the game. Hard to do when the prices are so inflated.
But, good on you both for having the time to grind out the money for those cars. The majority of people don’t have the time to do that. But, Gold Star for you both
