The Koenigsegg CCGT keeps going in the ground at 230-250mph and needs to be fixed

I have been playing Horizon 4 since it came out. Since the beginning, the game has consistently had problems with cars that drive so fast that the scenery can’t load quick enough and the car stops instantly. This has never been fixed and is extremely frustrating when trying to win weekly Speed Trap events. I am using XBox One S. (Forza Horizon 4 Windmill Danger Sign Glitch - YouTube)

On different cars, one set of Springs/Dampers results in the back of the car scraping the pavement and making sparks shoot out of the back end of the car. The car itself sinks into the pavement with the tires going below the pavement. (Forza 4 McClaren Senna Sinks - YouTube)

This is known from almost everyone here, all you can do is log some tickets.

Yes it only happens in certain parts of the track as well, always the same exact places, so it might not be an updating the screen issue. If it’s not the speed of updating that is the problem it is easier to fix.

There is a spot in Edinburgh where my car (that sinks into the road) flips right into the air if I drive too fast … captured that vid … can’t be bothered to report it

In edinburgh right next to castle speed zone gives you “failed” right away most of the time if you have too mutch entering speed, i cant even count how many rewind it take to get good score just because got failed right away when entering to zone.

Still happens to me too and is probably actually worse than when the game 1st released, practically no point making a car that’s able to go past 250mph anymore because I’ll get 5-10 seconds of it if I’m lucky then I’m instantly at zero.

Expecting talby to come in here and say it’s something we’re doing wrong as usual since clearly in his mind the game is absolutely perfect in every way and any deficiencies have to be entirely the player’s fault.

Cause of the issue: Storage device too slow and/or improper storage management.

Game is installed on the local hard disk of and Xbox one S … what am I supposed to do?

Replace the old storage device with a faster one. (SSD recommended)

Or improve your storage management, by:

  • Not filling up the storage device by too much. (20%+ free space desirable)
  • (Applies to HDD only) Limiting the extent of data fragmentation on the storage device.
  • Ensuring that no I/O intensive operation is going on on the storage device when playing the game.

Note: Even with proper storage management the game may still does not run well. (as it might not be designed to be stored on and ran from an HDD)

Nothing to do with VRAM.

And “ran out of RAM” is an inaccurate description. It’s more related with the whole loading process.

Not all settings have an obvious impact on the issue.

Maybe. Or maybe improper storage management.

Irrelevant.

When this happens on pc, it means you ran out of RAM or VRAM. The solution is to turn your settings down. Is there a performance option on the Xbox version?

i didn t have this issue until last upadate. Yesterday, i was racing with my friends and happened. Sceneries didnt load, and the drivatars in my screen and me stops imeadtly and may mates saw this happened, they still race normally

The Storage and ram and Vramm stil same

Same problem here… and trust me, it’s not about my storage, ram or even graphic card’s vram. I’ve tried everything what i found in the internet and nothing worked. It sad that i can’t actually race with my friends if we pick “X” class cars because even if im first then i get stuck for 5 seconds and everybody overtakes me. The weirdest thing’s that im the only one of my friends with this issue. Here’s link to video, to show how annoying it is.

Turn 10 Studios it’s time to face this problem after over a year since this came out, especially if it happening on pc and xbox.

Definitely happens to me from time to time. And I play on a standard Xbox One.

It seems to mostly happen to me when I’m reaching high speeds on the big long freeway section on the eastern side of the map.

Weirdly, I think it also happened to me when I was trying to drive fast in a stock Nissan GT-R, so my speed couldn’t have been THAT fast.

Well hey haven’t you heard it’s nothing to do with the game? Even though this sort of thing hasn’t ever happened on any other racing game certainly not to me and probably not to you too it’s ours or our system’s fault, the game is entirely faultless.

Honestly this game could come and burgle some people’s houses on this forum and they’d defend it.

There is a fix for the scenery not loading, and to be honest, its partially your own fault for installing so many games on your system that there’s no room left on the hard drive for a hidden “page file” for the game to use as extra ram. Either uninstall games you’re not currently playing, or get an external hard drive and move the games you don’t regularly play to the external drive leaving only FH4 on the internal drive. I bought the Seagate 8TB drive and transferred all Non-Forza games to the 8TB drive. I haven’t had the scenery fail to load since I did that.

I wish that this whole thing would be just about my hard drive. I bought new pc and FH4 was the only game i installed on my 1TB hdd (Windows is installed on my SSD) and the scenery still isn’t loading. Why would i buy more expensive hard drive to play one game if specifications says that all i need is 80GB free space to play the game?

Also think about xbox players, they bought console to probably save money (because PC is way more expensive) and now they have to spend their saved cash on new hard disk because creator of the game can’t handle or at least explain this problem?

No, this isn’t about space, it’s about the very slow internal HDD. I’ve run into this with less than half of the HDD filled.

I’ve been playing on PC since launch with over 150 hours played and never had this happen once. Seems to be a hardware issue and not a real game issue.

I’m sorry but do people cherry pick what they read on here? The OP clearly says Xbox One S, not PC.

This sort of thing hasn’t happened to me in any other racing game and I can go 260mph just fine on the other 2 Horizon games on the same console for as long as I want.

It isn’t a hardware issue, how some people still after over a year will refuse to believe anything is wrong with this game is baffling.
