After various tries i found that 388.71 solve all my problems of stuttering performance (currently playing at 1080p, 60fps, almost evrything on high/ultra). Try and let me know while we wait for a proper driver/t10 fix. (still waiting for the multithread patch that so much did for FH3, i still see 1 core at 100% and the rest doing who knows what at 5-10%)
Hi,
I play Forza 7 very smooth with clean install of win1709 in recommanded, dynamic at 60 fps lock. NO lags or stuttering, very perfect.
So i play with a clean install of win1803 (i try to reinstall du to stutters), and then no way to play smooth, in any cofigurations… even in 720p… stutters in game. My graphics card works at 50-60%, so in another game it work at what it needed (80-100%), what can i do !!!
I try your solution but it doesn’t work for me.
No more pleasure to play this game…
Sorry for my poor english.
Np, sorry to hear it didn’t work for you :-s We can only wait for a fix. By videocards producer or Turn10 ![]()
I solve my problem !
First i reset Bios settings to defaut.
Second i search all out of date drivers of my system ( Online TousLesDrivers com) : there are 2
- Intel(R) 82576V gigabit Network Connection
- Intel(R) Management Engine Interface
I update this 2 drivers to latest WHQL
So my game run smooth now, fine 60Fps @1080 all recommanded and dynamic settings under 1803 like it was under 1709 !!!
About overclocking : my I7 is @4200 ( 3400 standart) and my GTX 970 +50 core +100 memory and the game run smooth too.
So overclocking is not a problem i mean.
Just make your drivers up to date !
*Im getting stuttering like crazy on my 1080TI. [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D]
Same here! 1080ti @1440p Ultra (really, no matter the settings, it will stutter). My other computer on a GTX1070 won’t stutter!
Need help, please.
I had performance issues as well after the 1803 update, upgraded my nVidia drivers to latest cured my issues. I’m still playing on my little 780Ti and i5-3570k all settings maxed at 1080p
Try playing it with screen resolution set at 1920x1080p
Latest nvidia driver did not fix the issue. This seems to be at it’s worse in tracks like Dubai, Watkins Glen, and the last two turns in the Nurburgring 24h.
Other tracks show less stutter or none.
I don’t notice any weird behavior CPU or GPU wise, other than barely making a sweat. My i5 is using all of its 6 cores pretty evenly between 40 and 60%. My GPU is not going over 40%. All Ultra @1440p.
It actually surprises me how this game isn’t even remotely demanding when considering the impressive graphic detail.
Something else is at play. I have a feeling this game runs from a cloud rather than running from our PC’s. T10 or Microsoft need to act fast and take responsibility.
I upgraded to the new nVidia drivers (released 6/26) last night, it got rid of my very occasional micro-stutters…
I correct myself: I said my other PC did not have problems, but it does too. That one is running at 1080p, no Gsync on a 1070. So it is definitely not a Gsync or resolution related problem.
Go race at Dubai. Although it is not the only track that stutters, it is the worse. Do a race. Tell me if it didn’t stutter at all, specially before the helicopter turn.
If it doesn’t please share your settings.
Upgraded to new drivers also, absolutely no change and the stutters still remain.
Had the game well over a week now and still haven’t been able to play properly. Losing patience…
@husky: with my settings at a fixed refresh rate @ wqhd/120 hz dubai run perfekt smooth with konstant 120fps .
but the 1080 run not in the default nvidia power setting, you must set it in the driver to " maxpower" and with the 1070 you can use 100 hz when 120 is to high.
when i play online then i use 100hz monitor refresh rate also.
This could be some memory management issue? I’ve tried to remove Avast, memory clearing, various tricks that help but don’t solve. Also, after restarting computer, have to go back through and clear memory, that sort of thing. Still, nothing. As I read through, most people here have substantial hardware to run Forza 7 adequately.
