Same here and i think it was Windows update again , my PC also with 7700k and 1080 ti , game was running ALL MAXED OUT at 4K 60FPS with VSYNC before last Windows update , i meant last BIG UPDATE after the FALL UPDATE ! I dunno why this game always have problems … WINDOWS STORE related ?! win update ?!

Exactly the same. Game maxes at 144fps but every 2/3 seconds it stutters. I think it’s happening from windows update as well. Had hopes from Forza June update but no luck. Stuttering like hell…
Game drops from 144 to like 130 but it is unplayable…
Tried a lot of fixes and nothing too.

My specs are a 1080, 6700k and 16GB.

Same. It’s not unplayable per say, but it is very distracting to the point of being… Well, okay… It is unplayable. Yet another problem we will have to wait for months until it gets fixed., all thanks to Windows. can’t we get a Steam release on this game so we can actually run the game from our computers and not depend on a crappy server?

8600k, 1080ti, 16GB. G-sync 165hz 1440p monitor. I’ve done an infinite combination of graphic settings and it still stutters.

Yeah I’m getting increased stutterings with since the last update.

I have the same, it’s terrible that so many months after the premiere and there are still problems.

this worked for me:

First of all, it is not frame drops. The game is freezing for a fraction of a second every few seconds.

And second of all, this is pointless. Why would I want to decrease my monitor’s refresh rate to 60hz? I didn’t buy a high-refresh rate monitor so I could play at only 60fps.

What I noticed is that bringing the resolution down to 1080p does fix the stuttering. But again, it beats the purpose of having a higher res monitor with a graphic card meant for those higher res.

This is not a fix. It’s just putting a bandaid on the problem.

the only fix is back to win 1709 and fortunately horizon 4 need no 1803 to run…

It appears that the requirements are not out yet. I wouldn’t be surprised if they end up requiring the latest Win10 build.

I totally agree, Forza Horizon and MotorSport are two poles of the same company. It’s like heaven and hell. Each Forza Horizon was brilliant and probably 4 will be a feast for the players well, and MotorSport will not write, because they have been reviewing me for months.

not trying to be a butthead but all of you have well built computers then i do…

i have the issue of video stuttering and also the race will start up and run but sometimes it will not load the track and im driving on nothing but everything around I.E. walls stands other non collisonable areas are loaded…ive tried to play with the settings but they keep reverting back to the recommended and also dynamic(yes i do except the changes), i seen a lot of issues with win10(which i use) but im also thinking i could be able to set my settings manually to get my game to not stutter and not have the track dissappear,i can run the game for a decent amount of time(1-1 1/2 hrs) then I start running into issues i have my framerate tracker provided by fm7 on and its anywhere from 56-60 which is what im fine with(like i said i dont have awesome builds like some people do but this rig has lasted this long and im a hard working father that cant get ahead). what would people recommend me setting my settings to be able to get the track disappearing and also the minor stutter to be bearable
Thanks for your time and Patience

Like one user is reporting , 1080p should remove the stuttering (didn´t tested that yet ,because for me this NEEDS a FIX by them WIN TEAM or FORZA TEAM) but in your case you can try searching on you tube with your kind of PC RIG or try to messs with “dynamic opmization” try custom" or default and see whats best for you , but you lack 16gb that are also needed for this game to run well , and a better cpu and graphic card too … oh well you would be better buying a xbox for you and for your family and if the game is digital you can play it “better” there with cross play/buy !
Sorry im portuguese , so my english isn´t very good !

in the win store they wrote that h4 requiring win win 15063.0…hope dies last

maybe they won’t to scare me away from the click to preorder with the requiring from 1803

I tried to roll back 1803 but it seems it’s only possible for 10 days. And that’s long gone. I won’t reinstall windows 10 because of a single game…
Does anyone it Turn10 knows about it and/or works on a fix?

I was having a lot but a LOT of stutering every 4-5 seconds. By disabling intel speedstep in bios and setting power plan to Performance seems to help but i still notice a bit of stutter now and then. The game was running just fine before the update.
I have an i7 7700 and a gf 1060 6gb.

Just to keep bumping this thread and add another one to the list of disappointed players. I bought this game after having a lot of fun in Horizon 3.

I spent 2 1/2 hours last night reading various guides, attempting a number of things such as running scripts, hours messing around with the graphical settings. Only to keep running the benchmark test over and over to see the same error. The same stuttering described by other posters in this forum. I should not have to fiddle around like a 90s game trying to get this to run on my machine which is more than capable of running Forza 7.

I have spent money on this game and it is a problem that makes it unplayable for me. Turn10, this is not good enough - when can we expect a fix?

It really stinks. I was looking forward to Horizon 4 but there’s no way I’m buying another game with this 1803 update garbage. Trouble is it won’t be corrected until the next major update (if at all) and that probably won’t be for 4-6 months. I just missed my opportunity to roll back to 1709 which was flawless. This is why I don’t think there should be forced updates. Microsoft seems to be trying to destroy PC gaming with the way things are going.

Game is a stuttering mess since 1803. It’s not playable on my pc. Every other game runs butter smooth. Only my Forza games are stuttering.

This also happens on xbox since the last update its especially worse when there is a number of cars on the screen. I just had a post locked by a mod for complaining about it lol.
