10 out of 11 of the same vehicles each race

There, it’s in the title. When you’re in a race, up to 8 opponents will drive the same car. It kinda defeats the purpose of having a lot of cars in a single category, right ? Some examples :

12 cars , 7 Talbots :

Setup a race for all the Porsche GT3s in the game, notice the lack of GT3 RS 4.0 and the number of GT3 RS 19 :

And the bloody worst of all, Japanese Steel (or Cars , can’t remember well) category with such an amazing selection of cars :

It doesn’t matter which category I choose, or if I even select a few cars meself, it’ll always look like this. So :
What’s up with this, PGG ? Bad algorithm ? Are ya gonna patch this down the road, or do we have to endure this until FH5 ?

Every race I create and race in, 10 out of the 11 AI/Drivatars are the same vehicle. I have tried changing difficulties and still the same. It didn’t bother me too much at first, but now it’s annoying. Is there anything else I can do to change this?

You might want to give an example of the sort of race you’re setting up and the car you are in.

Not really seen this issue in my blueprints.

Sure, for an Offroad race, it doesn’t matter what I am racing in, 10 out of 11 AI vehicles are Ford Raptors every time. For classic muscle, it’s dodge chargers, and for modern muscle it’s Ford Mustangs. And it’s not just races I created in Blueprint, it’s other people’s races and sometimes the in game races(not created).

Oh and when I create a race with specific vehicles like say offroad vehicles from the 70’s, then it’s usually just Ford Broncos. The winter mix race I will get a little more variety. So it’s not just me limiting the vehicles. Oh and when I do the Anything Goes race I get 10 out of 11 of the same vehicles.

I get this as well. And there’s also the fact that all of the drivatars in races are level 1.

I’ve never had a Driveatar that wasn’t level 1 either

I’m getting this too, I’m not using blueprint. If I pick a race and the default is Offroad, I’ll pick the Defender FE, the other 11 drivatars will be 2017 ford raptors. S1 rally onster races will have 8 Ford RS200.

If you’re racing below S1 800, the Raptor is the highest PI of Offroaders. My guess is (seeing this before in FM7) the coding is telling the game to pick the highest PI opponents to match you. The RS200 isn’t the highest PI of its group, but it could be after autoupgrading.

To counter this you might try racing at a PI below the stock PI of those cars. But the game will probably compensate by giving you a field of the next highest PI car opponents. If that’s true the only way to fix it might be for the developers to code in more variability in the opponent field or add a Bucket feature to segment the opponents.

Thanks for the suggestion, I did try using a car with PI below the stock PI of like say the Raptor and I get a bunch of the same other kind of vehicle. Is this something the developers already know about and might fix in the near future or should I post this in the troubleshoot forum?

Well this is not only problem at low level pi but in high level pi also, i just create blueprint anything goes and pick x999 tvr, my opponents are 2 pagani zonda fe pi993, one ford mustang pi933 and 8 ford focus pi917!!! and another blueprint hypercars, i pick up bugatti, opponents, x2 mclaren senna, koennisegg one, zenvo st1 and 7 agera rs. There is 19 hypercars in the game and still game gives everytime 7 same car to ai drivers.

Features Wish List. As long as you can race against opponents, I’d imagine the game will be seen as working as intended and this probably won’t be seen as a tech support issue.

a tip that can be a solution, is to look at how free play works in forza motorsport 7. There, you realize that the game tries to solve the problem of repeating cars in drivatars, forcing each rider on the track, use different car inside the class. Interestingly, when you go in career mode in F7, it totally changes the way you choose the vehicles, and it’s the same as what happens in forza horizon 4.

I happen to have a ton of Audi TT RS’ in my anything goes races lol

So I did a race with class d and got a good variety, class c no real variety, same with class b, class a, so on…
