can you not put on a centrifugal supercharger? Torque/Acceleration doesn’t usually drop with this Race part but rather increases through the rev range.
Yeah when I look at the telemetry it seems 5500/5600 is about right, it just looked very low and wanted to check it out, cheers.
I don’t think that part would be available given that its a turbo already. You can possibly aspiration convert it to supercharged and even up the power band, but its going to be costly in terms of the bhp loss if you can.
^^If you can drop weight else where then could be an option to counter the loss of bhp. I prefer the CS over Turbo and yeah I noticed it was turbo after I re-read it lolz. Good Luck with the tune bro
Yeah that’s what I had a go at originally, going for a sort of RA tune. I managed to get it to a respectable 8:1 weight:power and shaving any more weight at this point will bump the PI out of range.
The problem I am having currently is that on a lot of corners I’m being forced to choose between either; shifting just after the apex of the turn at high boost as I exit which isn’t very stable or keeping the power down until I’ve straightened up and accept the massive torque loss from revving so high.
Might have a go at tuning for a 5 gear setup and just cut the last gear right out of the equation and see how it works out. Anyway, cheers for the thoughts dude
Ah, I’ll head on over and have a look at those, cheers. ( Though finding the ones with the 1600 rally from all the entries on the LB might be a little challenging )
Didnt do it in FM5 yet, but in some previous itteration of Forza, I sometime upgraded to a bigger turbo to have a bigger lag. This allowed me to have a little less power out of the corner
Where do I find the curve? I know iv seen it somewhere lol. Iv not set up the gears yet. Its just got the box ready for full gear changes when iv got the rest if the car done. At its current gearing there doesn’t seem to be any lag. Its torque is 265 and roughly after a gear change at 7k thats 1k less than the limit it hits around the 250lb-ft. As im writing this iv found the torque graph. It shows the curvs meeting at around 5.5k id say.
Lol yeah, its a pretty beastly lump to be fair, you just have to tame it a little
It seems you need to shift way down the band, like yourself and others have said about 5500 ish rpm. I’m still trying to adjust the gears now to make for more stable cornering, as shifting on the apex is just way unbalancing things.
