Heyo,
1st time poster, looking for a helpful gearbox tuner.
My question is - Where in the hell do I start trying to optimize the gearbox on the 1.6L Turbo Rally engine?
I recognize that the shift point is way before redline (4.5-5k RPM) if I am not mistaken.
I’m looking for advice, aside from the obvious lengthening the final drive so the end of 6 gear doesn’t go poopoo on a long straight like Yas Marina

If you look for the best setup for the car and not for a specific trac, you should make use of the whole powerband.
Each shift should bring you to the same power output on the next gear.
1st 3.00
2nd 2.25
3rd 1.80
4th 1.47
5th 1.21
6th 1.00

Well I gave the WRC ratios a whirl . It actually felt like it was less frantic to run up the gears and potentially miss a shift before the power dropped.
Managed to shave a half-second off my other tune/engine rivals time.
