1,5 and 10K CR wheelspins are less usefull than the clothing items

Glad they nerfed them. They were giving credits and cars out willy nilly. I have every car currently available and 70m credits. I have no use for any more credits.

Depends on how you play. If you don’t care about getting every car, or just plan on getting them through the auction house, you’re fine. If you’re like me, however, whose personal mission is to own every car and be the original owner of said cars, then an already difficult task is now much, much harder since prices in the Autoshow have inflated exponentially since Horizon 4, and the nerfed Wheelspins have made it harder to obtain Wheelspin exclusive cars.

In short, barely anyone seems to see it, but the economy in Horizon 5 is effectively as bad as Gran Turismo 7’s, before and after the Wheelspin nerfs. Only difference is that Microsoft isn’t shoving microtransactions in people’s faces.

I think most new players would argue in favor of the OP. On the flip side, it’s no surprise to hear comments from people playing for months that they are glad for the nerf…after all, THEY already have all the cars THEY want or need. How many of THEM would argue in favor of the nerf if THEY were new players? My guess is very few.

I only hope my comment is jumped on by THEM to let me know just how wrong I am. I’d challenge any of them to start fresh and see for themselves just how grueling of a grind-fest is in store. Before anyone mentions it, yes, I know I play the game wrong. I liked the wheelspins the way they were and the high payouts. That’s just wrong and I shouldn’t even be playing the game if I have a job and limited time to amass all that I seek to accumulate.

Spoken just like a baby boomer.

In FH5 they’re still needed but like you say - in FH4 I’ve probably got about triple those values last time I checked and with no getting past the 999,999,999 CR limit - No point in even trying.
Don’t think I’ve used or even downloaded a W/S or SW/S for about 2 years.

I started a new account to go through the opening again and see how the credits and rewards actually are now. What position was I in when I got to the point of the playlist being available, you ask? Accomplishing the playlist took all the credits I had accumulated and I had saved everything I could on the way. This includes having Ultimate, VIP etc.

Maybe try it before judging? I would be interested to know other’s experiences with starting new.

It doesnt help that the gifts for new players aren’t going to new players. I deliberately send out playlist cars in the hope they help someone, but they probably don’t as I keep getting cars meant for new players.

I agree 100%. I have every single car in FH5 and about 65m credits, and I thought of starting from scratch on another profile to get the feeling as a “new” player after a few patches. Maybe I’ll do that (probably not).

True. The game still thinks I’m a new or returning player. I still gift to “new players” because maybe it works sometimes.

People are really misremembering the wheelspins in 3.

One positive thing from the new account was receiving a McLaren 570. So I went back to my normal account and gifted a Chiron, Veyron and 5 or 10 rs200h when it was the weekly car all to new players. Hopefully they got to players deserving. The point is 1 gift was more memorable than the wheelspins/sws.

Im not experiencing it. I usually get two or three big prices out of about ten wheelspins. More or less, as it should be.

I got a 100,000 credits a couple of days ago. It was the first non green prize I’ve received since the great nerfing. My average has been less than 10,000 for SW and 2 for WS

My average has been similar to yours, sometimes the awesome (not awesome at all 1k CR). I even tested after March 1st patch if when to hit the stop button or let it stop by itself made a difference, but no. I knew it’s mostly random but gave it a try. Now I just pile them up, I have enough CR already which I basically spend on downloading tunes.

I only have about 20m credits and nearly every car, but I’m still not happy about them getting nerfed. We can go ahead and agree to disagree on that matter though.

Maybe when I get to 70m like you I’ll change my stance and we can mock the peasants together!

Well if you’re not personally experiencing it, then nobody on the planet is. As far as that’s how it “should be”, you might get a better reception here if you didn’t use absolutes. I have no problem with you thinking that’s how it “should be”, but that doesn’t mean that’s how it should be. I’m not sure if you know the difference.

I often wonder how some people survive in the real world.

I got 250000 yesterday.

I even managed a Super Wheelspin of 450K yesterday. I’m finding that, while really low value (15K or less) are more common now than a few months ago, the higher value spins still happen often enough to make them not completely worthless.

I’ve been getting pretty lucky lately, I am regularly getting spins with 100,000k, 200,000…etc, a car, and then like a 1000, 5000…etc…

So, not as lucrative as it once was… but personally I’m seeing a few good ones, mixed with the pooh

I also just sold my NSX R-GT for 20million since they will be a prize next month and prices will drop, so that is always nice to get full pop for an auction.

I use to love wheelspins but once they made this change I havn’t manually done one, I get the occasionall automatic spin if I level up but like excessively complicated dailies it’s not worth my time to use the wheelspins anymore.
