I almost never play career mode or free play. I was bored yesterday, rivals was frustrating me, and none of my friends that I normally race with were on. Since I’m still fairly new to non ABS brakes, I didn’t want to jump into a public hopper. Didn’t want to annoy anyone by locking the brakes up and causing wrecks. So, I figured why not run a long race in free play? I picked Yas Marina, 20 laps, max drivatars, and unbeatable level. Figured that should give me a good test with the brakes…
Seriously, are you kidding me with this? That’s unbeatable? I’m not too bad at that track in C class, but its not like I’m an elite player either. I lapped the whole field twice and a few cars three times before the race was over. Why call it unbeatable, if they are running laps that are at least 8 seconds slower than you? These drivatars couldn’t crack the top 1,000 on the leaderboards. I was at least expecting drivatars that were capable of running top 100 times. I LOVE this game and normally have very few complaints about it, but what a joke that was.

I said they couldn’t crack the top 1,000. After looking at the leaderboards, they wouldn’t crack the top 5,000. The closest drivatar to me, in terms of lap times, was a full 8 seconds slower than me, and many were over 20 seconds slower. I’m sorry, but that’s just not unbeatable, its not even close. I would understand if I was ONR Chronic or EMW Simmo and I was beating the field by that much, but I’m not even close to that level.
Ok, so what’s your point exactly? It still not worthy of being called unbeatable, IMO. I don’t care if its 0.1% or 50%, unbeatable should be a good test for anyone. To very easily lap the entire field on that level is a joke.
Turn all assists off(including damage) and Race them in a similar level car from A Class or above. I’m not sure you’d have such an easy time with them. It’s fun though
Got beat in career mode in the difficulty level that is two knotches down in A class at long beach.
Granted my car wasn’t quite suited for the track, but I still finished second with a fastest lap around #1500. The drivatar in first was around 4 tenths quicker than me and 10 seconds faster than most of the field.
I’ve seen this randomly in all 3 of the top drivatar difficulties. Usually its an elite drivers drivatar that by chance got through the slow drivatars. In this instance it was FTW Vin’s drivatar who beat me.
